I hope India can play a larger role in economic and security matters in Asia and the Pacific. So far, India is the largest country in Asia that can challenge the CCP, now that China is rapidly losing confidence from its neighbors.
If only China is more friendly, we could have make a better world. We could surpass the west. Disunity among Asians is what makes our region poor and weak. Tha't's what the west is taking advantage of.
Mabuhay Philippines!
Every year they always say this in the Philippines, but still, it is never felt by the common person. Everything is becoming more expensive, salaries are low, services are subpar, inflation still high. News like this doesn't matter anymore.
I hope someday, everything will be better.
It is because of inflation. Our economy grew 5.6% but inflation is at 6%. That is why people hardly felt the progress.
If we tamed inflation we will be able to atleast felt it ok. Thw size of egg went back to its original price as well as sugar other items. Somehow the government is working to address this concerns.

Basically country with high population will experience high GDP growth but that doesn’t reflect the true picture of the citizen well being…other factors should also be taken into account such as unemployment rate, salary level, corruption index, etc
Sure😂😂
Unemployment rate in the PH right now is at all time low at 3%..
16% of the population live below the poverty line, philiopine wages are low and not enough jobs for the people, that's why around 12million people leave the country to find work outside, corruption index in the philippines is high. Philippines education is so low that they are ranked as one of the lowest comprehension population in the world, that's why they keep electing the same corrupt political dynasties.

I hope the Philippines will further open up its economy to foreign direct investors by allowing 100% foreign equity ownership in capital-intensive industries that Filipino corporations cannot afford to capitalize 60% equity shares like natural resource extraction, agriculture, forestry, energy, education, and mass media.
I do not agree with the 100% foreign ownership. Just the NGCP alone who have 40% chinese share is already a headache. How much more if it's 100%?
@@littlesenorita1488 any foreign equity ownership restrictions should have not been codified in the constitution, but in ordinary legislation that could be easily amended by Congress. Allowing 100% foreign equity ownership legally will discourage foreigners from using Filipino dummies to skirt foreign equity ownership restrictions just to do business in the Philippines.

Amazing Philippines !
But the gain is benefiting our corrupt politicians not the ordinary people.
No. Employment rate is at highest in nearly 2 decades. Underemployment is also lower.
Hunger incidence is down. Poverty rate is down.
Tourism is up. New businesses are opening.
For 2023, the increase in median wage is 6% which is equivalent to the inflation rate.
Philippine inflation is in the lower half in the list of countries in terms of inflation.
People are obviously benefitting from the GDP growth.
