      FYI, Philippines compete in South East Asian countries and to the rest of the world, in fact Philippines now is dubbed as the "Call Center Capital of the World" because Philippines is the leading country in all South East Asia in BPO, International Call Center & IT) and Phillippines is one of the Largest producers of chip semiconductors on earth and one of the leading counties in the world who produce & export the electric & electronics products etc.. Philippines soon overtake Thailand GDP economy because of Philippines continuously the fastest GDP growth in South East Asia. The Philippines have many many BIG World famous Industries such as the Giant world famous burger chain Jollibee, Penshoppe & Bench apparels, Potato Corner, Oishi, San Miguel Beer which evolve around the world... Philippines is included in NIC - Newly Industrialized Countries..Philippines is on track to become 1st world country.. So research before you comment ok?

    • @mingkay4743
      @mingkay4743 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

      It was actually very quick this time. Regular rice went from 50 pesos to 62 pesos, eggs went from 7 pesos to 10 pesos, and other goods went up by 20-30% since June or July of 2023. That's a very high inflation rate in a matter of 6-7 months. It's understandable though that this is a worldwide phenom but the government should really work hard to not let this rise futher.

Do I need to mention more and enumerate the prices before and after? If you do groceries regularly you will know. TBH, I don't really spot the price hikes right away but what happened last year was just too sudden. Not only me but everyone in the neighborhood including my 'suki na' vendors were shocked. Hunger incidence is down. Poverty rate is down.
      Tourism is up. New businesses are opening.
      For 2023, the increase in median wage is 6% which is equivalent to the inflation rate.
      Philippine inflation is in the lower half in the list of countries in terms of inflation.
