I'll take the extra output power over storage charging any day. Storage charging in something this small takes too long anyway for it to be useful so it's good they don't really have it.
For a small charger, the storage function is just too slow. Sending the energy into other batteries or USB devices is the better way to go versus just wasting it away as heat.
@@AlbertKimTVgood tip for storage discharge! Does it keep the cells balanced whilst doing this? Also with the lack "storage charging", can you just use regular charging and set the end voltage as 3.8V rather than 4.2V or so? Does this keep the cells balanced as well? Thanks!
ISDT chargers are great, this is such a nice travel charger that does up to 6s. Very compact, usbc and xt60 inputs. Awesome travel companion. Great review Albert 👍
I treated myself to the Isdt 608ac charger a couple of years ago & it really adds to my enjoyment of the hobby. This one is perfect for Albert’s glovebox.
So many haters commenting on this video about the lack of storage charging which is hardly needed and glad they took it out to make it smaller and cheaper.
This charger surprise me too. I've stop buying skyrc charger as its storaged charge is fixed at certain voltage and switched to buying ISDT Q6 nano due to its ability to change the storage charged voltage within a range of voltages. This new ISDT added PD but removed my favourite function! Hope a firmware update or v2 solve it.
Its amazing what they can pack in such small stuff these days. I still have my old nicad charger from back in the 80s its huge and couldnt even use it for a lipo it really does amaze me. Thanks for sharing Albert
Seems like a great option for on the go field charging. Pair this with a larger battery pack and get a few more flights in rather than carrying a bunch of batteries. Great review!!
@@925fpv last year during the black friday sales I ended up buying the Lumenier Power Bank from GetFPV. Its been really solid so far! No need to carry any extra chargers or batteries but it is on the larger side

Nice little charger. Very capable, good to keep in backpack or car. I like the feature being able to output via the usb c. I use my isdt BG-8S checker to discharge packs to storage voltage by charging phones and tablets. Getting some use out of that energy. 👍⚡😎
I don't understand why so many people care so much about storage and discharging.. First of all, discharging is a waste of energy, there are many ways to transfer the energy from the battery to charging other things other than wasting it into heat, and for storage, just discharge the battery with the usb out until storage voltage.. Also this charger is not meant to be your only charger..
OK I like the bluetooth capability. I am thinking if I need to storage charge something I would just use that battery to charge from the xt60 input to charge up a battery that is low, when it gets to 3.8ish then swap to the output side to get it balanced. I may have to pick one of these up to try out.
Isdt products are insanely good for the money. I would categorize myself as a beginner in fpv but somewhat advanced in electronics. The isdt pd60 I have is insanely robust and reliable. For 30 dollars that is a bargain. Thanks for bringing this product to our attention AK.
Love this option! This technology has been around for a while, and I'm surprised all new chargers don't already have it. I just got a nice new charger, but this is on my wishlist for sure. I guess range is limited to the bluetooth connection.
I am lookin for a light + compact international charger. I will also use it as an extra charger at home when im in a rush, or for use on roadtrips. My other charge is a HOTA S6. My batteries are all 1300mah 6s. With my 140W macbook charger, am i correct in thinking i could charge 4 in parallel at 1.3A (1c) and 6 at 1A? Do you think this is a good charger for my usecase? I dont really care about the app so much. is there a better alternative?
I've had 2 of these chargers for about a month, and they have become my favorite travel chargers. While I don't get the full 240w over USB, the convenience factor of throwing 2 of these in my bag vs a huge charger outweighs that con as I usually travel with a 200w USB charger for my laptop, cellphone, etc., anyway. An average charge session for me is 4-8 1300mah 6s packs or smaller packs, so 2 of these together work out perfectly. Using a large battery bank or LiPo, its compact size makes for an excellent field charger. The lack of storage charging is a bummer, but I usually discharge my batteries with an XT60 to a USB power adaptor to charge other USB devices so as to not waste energy discharging batteries. Dude really I am so mad to hear this is a good item. In a good way. Happy. But annoyed I saw this on Black Friday I wanted it so bad over the Sky RC. I asked someone's advice because it seemed new and no reviews. They are clearly ill-informed that isdt is making great products today and no longer are a burn hazard I am kind of sick of the community of noobs spewing out b*******. I'll make sure to use the affiliate link thank you
Wow!! These chargers are getting smaller and smaller. They also seem to becoming more versatile and user friendly with every new rendition. USB-C PD seems to be a must have now a days. The screen is super sharp. It's even got Bluetooth. Thanks for the very detailed review.
Pretty interesting charger indeed, Albert! Great review! 😃 But yeah, I'd personally have storage charge available. 😕 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
can anyone recommend a similar portable charger that has XT30 natively? I know you can plug a XT60/30 adapter cable to any of these but they're such a PITA
Iflight and toolkit makes one with a xt30 its the m4ac that is the only charger with a xt30 that comes to mind ill look into it for ya and report back if i find a different or better one

🛒 ISDT 608PD Smart Charger - rb.gy/bkdv7v
This one has a lot more power than the ToolkitRC one. Good price on this ISDT too.
The ToolkitRC one should be $10 cheaper with this one at $29.
Take my money! I will get one for the car and have a charger with me everywhere.

Love the form factor, does the toolkitrc one have a storage function?
I have that one and it has a storage function that's totally useless. It takes HOURS to storage charge most lipos that aren't tiny.

That is pretty sweet for on the go charging. Getting tired of taking my imars dual with me all the time

Always good to get a good charger!
Can u use it in your car lighter port
Yes if you have an adapter with XT60 connector.
Hi, does it charge lithium ion battery packs, please answer, i will be thankfull to you
Yes
How, because its not in the menu
use the same settings as LiPO and then tweek the parameters according to your need
On your opinion, is this charger better than SkuRc b6 neo?
yes
I was excited by this new charger (I was going to buy this one instead of the B6 Neo from SKYRC) but the lack of storage functionality kinda killed my interest.
Storage charging is overrated and takes FOREVER on these tiny chargers so not having it is not a big deal.

The lack of storage charge/discharge is too big of a limitation.

Not needed for something that's small like this. It will be way too slow to be useful.

about as vital as a mercedes
This one doesn’t look anything like an ISDF product. But is sure reminds me of a game boy 😂
Looks great for charging on the go, maybe not as a primary charger but still looks good for the price.
Seen these on aliexpress for even cheaper
Very cool features, im glad u show how to do the common functions, id be clueless
