for all the people who don't know or are ignorant, these are used for food, they are not regular guinea pigs, they have been raised for food by the Inca for thousands of years

No these are domestic guinea pigs!! What this person is doing is so wrong how would you feel if you was in that cage with wires? No animal deserves to be raised like this its abuse i know this is in another country but if this was in the usa this person would be in prison for animal abuse, there domestic pet guinea pigs they depend on humans to survive there not from the wild get your facts straight

What do you primarily feed them? Are they more heat tolerant than rabbits? Do they dig alot and eat bark off fruit trees ? I am thinking of fencing in orchard to raise guinea pigs for food.

We feed them about 80% grass, leaves, rice straw, and 20% rabbit feeds. They do not dig, now i have them in soil, their feces act as a very good natural beddings, they will peel bark off young shrub and orchards, they bite a lot when grass is not around, they use to bite wooden fence, they bite wooden plyboard as division. Now i use concrete plyboard hardiflex as divider

Fernando Salazar im fine with people eating guinea pigs even tho i own them. it doesnt mean its okay to keep them in inhumane conditions.

Omg this is terrible 😪 guinea pigs are not suppose to be in wire bottom cages they can get bumble foot and they need regular hay not just grass and they need fresh pellets and veggies everyday!! They need a minimum of 8 squared feet with a safer bottom no wires also rice is so bad for guinea pigs im sorry i feel like they deserve better i run a rescue and we try to educate people everyday i hope you will listen and change these living conditions

This is so cruel 😱😭. Guinea pigs need space, REAL flooring, large cages that aren't over crowded, hiding spots e.t.c.
