Your needle cord fabric is lovely and will make a fab dress. The reading pillows are a great idea and I’m looking forward to seeing them. I wish mince pies were that quick to make!😁
lol yes me too!! I need to make another couple of batches now as there’s only 2 left! The reading pillows are now finished and I’m very happy with them xx
Your dress is coming on nicely 😍. I love the reading pillow idea.. I think I might do these for my nephew and nieces birthdays next year 👍. You always inspire Karen.. thank you 🤗💖😘
Oh can’t wait to see your triple tick dress finished. It’s looking lovely so far. He he how funny we both opened chocolates on the same day 😂 Mince pies look yum 😋 xx
Gday hun, lovely catching up with your day. Yup, smocking takes a long time, also Janelle did a couple videos on smocking (Rosery Apparel) 😀We know you are busy, no hurry hun on when you can comment 🤗Thanku 'sew' much for sharing 🪡🎅✂🎄🧵🙂XX
Hi Karen, that dress in the cord looks similar to the tessuti pattern Milenda dress, which i have on my radar, but I think I like yours better though. Might have to give that one a try. I'm looking forward to seeing yours finished, it looks lovely.
I'm making 3 reading pillows for gifts this year. I think they are a great gift for kids. Instead of making mince pies I use the jar of mince and make a fruit cake. I don't like the candied fruit so I add chopped apples and nuts. The recipe is called Fast and Fabulous Fruitcake. I call my version The Unfruit Cake. My husband makes his Grandmother's caramel sauce to pour over it. OK I'm all caught up with your videos now back to housework then supper.
Oh wow your cake and caramel sauce sounds amazing!! Love that idea. So my pillows are now complete with snaps to hold the envelope together and I’m pleased with how they’ve worked out. Xx
The mince pies are different than pies I know how to make. Is the crust more like a cookie dough? I’ve never seen pies that can be stacked one upon another and stored like cookies….

Thanks Annette! It’s a super easy pattern to sew. I’ve just finished it and really like it. I’ve not heard of the Tessuti pattern before. Xx

Yes the dough is a shortcrust pastry, so it is like cookie dough. It’s made with butter, plain flour and caster sugar. Really easy to make xx
