Hi and thank you for the great advice and information you have provided. Thank you to the couple you had on your show they were great 👍. I’m an American recently retired and planning to move to Albania because of all the great stories that I hear. I moved to playa del Carmen Mexico thinking that it would be cheaper but the reality is that it’s not. I would like to know if I need to do any paperwork before heading there. I’m a slow traveler I’m probably thinking three months to start. Also can I rent an apartment for three months instead of hotel. Would like to know if September is a good time to travel there.
I would really appreciate your feedback and hopefully I can meet you both. Thank you 🙏

We are glad you enjoyed the video! Albania offers a 1 year visa upon arrival with a US passport. There are many places to rent for longer stays. September is nice weather. Be aware that accommodation prices rise during the summer season of June - September in places like Sarande.
Check out our other Albania videos for a better idea of costs in the off-season and some pros and cons of Sarande (a resort city in the south).
