Hello friend! If you have a hint of olive, may I suggest shade 16? I'm Latin American, too, dark hair and eyes, and light-medium skin color with both yellow AND blue (thus, olive) undertones. Other good shade matches for me are Estee Lauder Double Wear 2W2 "Rattan", MAC NC30, Dior Backstage Face and Body 2.5N, Lancome Teint Idole in Bisque (can't remember the number) and Super Stay 24 Hrs in 129 "Medium Beige". If any of those shades suit you, 15 and 16 in Lisa Eldridge are most likely excellent matches for you.
Just discovered you as I've bought the actual foundation so looking for reviews. As it turns out, It Cosmetics and Clinique Even Better are in my stash and I'm in my 50s. I'm not wowed by the Lisa Eldridge though it's early days. It's very nice, fantastic shade range but I don't currently think it's as nice as my favourite Door Forever Glow. Will definitely be subscribing to your channel.
My perfect shade is Number 16. It has a bit more of a neutral-olive undertone and it's the exact color of my neck and chest. (Just in case it's helpful, I'm MAC NC30, Estee Lauder Double Wear 2W2 "Rattan", Dior Backstage Face and Body 2.5N). I'm loving the Lisa Eldridge foundation, it's so skin-like! That's something I appreciate on my 55 years old face.

On my monitor, you look more olivine and closer to my skin tone, but knowing the foundation shades you regularly wear, I have to conclude that I'm not seeing your color as it really is. In True Match, I'm W3, maybe W4 if I'm a bit tanned. That's very different from 5N! Nice chatting with you, new friend!
I'm 43 and found this foundation to be so drying and flat and it sat in my pores and looked very cakey. I couldn't apply highlighter over it. It lifted off and separated. I was so disappointment. I used my usual fairly hydrating moisturizer underneath and followed all her tips so I was interested to know what another grown up woman thought. Thank you for your video.
Oh no that's such a shame! I'm still trying to find the best way to apply it. Today I used my IT cosmetics foundation brush and only used two pumps, and it went on well. I will definitely do a wear test - watch this space!
I feel similarly. I am 48 and love to use my fingers to apply my foundation. My favs are lighter coverage like KohGenDo, MAC, and Chantecaille. I was so looking forward to this and everyone is giving it such great reviews but I continue to struggle. From my card, even without matching the color, I was able to apply eight times. I tried everything and it clings and sits in my pores. I’ve given up for now but I appreciate videos like yours - thank you so much.

I’m 49 with dry skin and I’ve found this to be my holy grail foundation. However, for best results I have to ensure I’ve used glycolic acid toner to prep and take away any flakies first, then I use Weleda Skin Food moisturiser. I add Lisa’s highlighter, then less than one full pump of the foundation. Less is more. Once I’ve applied everything else, I powder extremely lightly under my eyes and my T zone. It lasts all day and I’m always reluctant to remove it at bedtime because it still looks so good. I’ve tried using it with primer over my moisturiser and that works too. Keep trying it but start with a tiny amount and prep really thoroughly. X
I can’t wait to hear how it wears through the day. Like does it settle into wrinkles, how is the fade? I’ve heard nothing but amazing things and have my sample card. Can’t wait to play with it. I’ve subscribed and so happy I found you. Btw I love her velvet muse lipstick shade as well.
I’ve found it doesn’t budge once it has dried down. It’s actually even nicer with wear, it’s strange (but lovely). I’m so used to other foundation disappearing after only a few hours!
The foundation finish looks really lovely on you but I would say looking on my screen that it looks quite pinky and your skin includes a light olive tone rather than pink. Just my thoughts and looking on my screen which may not represent what you actually see. I too have the same sample cards as you - have to say looking at them b4 applying they look too dark but I will experiment with them and they may go on different to how they look on the card. Thank you - it's so interesting to hear what others see - tbh 15 could have worked but I think I'm more pink in the winter months. Colour wise I definitely do not suit orange or yellow close to my face, so I tend to wear cool colours, but I do quite like terracotta colours on my eyes. I might well get 15 in the spring! It's normal, really, it used to be combo but now it's fairly stable, not dry, the only thing that irritates it is scented products so I have to be super careful that I don't use any scented products on my skin that will stay there - so handgel/wash is ok, but nothing more. Thank you for the question - I need to add that to my info box!
I do think that you’re very olive (you look greenish on my screen) and it’s a shame that you didn’t swatch the 16 which is the olive shade. I actually think that the colour you chose is way too pink for you and 16 might be a better match. As Lisa advises in her video: match the foundation to your neck!
Thanks Hannie. Yes my neck is a different colour, although the assistant in the LE shop suggested it was yellow! I do have the 16 still and will try it. I was a bit hesitant when I recorded the video because I wasn't sure how much product was in the little pots. The great thing about those samples is you can experiment!
@@beautybydez my neck looks yellow too, but in my case that’s the overtone. It’s why I always get people to assume I need foundation with golden tones, which make me look even more yellow! Olives with lighter skin tones have a hard time getting a good match. Unfortunately I was too late to get sample cards, so I’m relying on people like you to try and swatch them😉
I have to admit that when I saw your face without makeup my immediate thought was that the 16 would be a good choice for you! But the 14, although rosy, looks good too as it doesn’t totally cancel out your natural colour. I think you have fabulous skin! ❤️
I have 9 of her lipsticks, and none has broken for me! And I travel to the tropic every two weeks, where eeeeeeeverything melts! You just need to make sure you don't extend the bullet much beyond the point you actually need to apply.
I have used none other than Lisa’s lip products since they came out and I’ve not had one single breakage. I only twist a lipstick up enough to apply it, not all the way up. But they’re amazing quality and the best staying power but comfortable. Her lipliners are brilliant too - they don’t budge!

I’m a light olive because of my green veins and any foundation that is cool looks very bad almost orange which doesn’t match my pale olive neck

Yes, I hope you do try the 16, because your skin looks like you could be my shade twin, and 16 is SPOT ON the color of my jawline, neck, and chest.

The lipstick breaks, I wouldn’t waste your money
That happened to a friend of mine, but she sent it back and they sent her a replacement. I find using my finger quite a good way to apply it.
