This album is heart crushing for me. I've been through this kind of loss. If I'm interpreting it correctly, the entity introduced at 2:40 is grief and the one at 5:42 is guilt.

17:37 As someone who is much more of a metalhead (more metalcore and deathcore), I was never bothered by Bryan's vocals. I think they're super unique and cool. I latched onto them immediately. And I'm a lows guy. I love gutterals but I never get tired of his voice.

Sorry I'm commenting so much but if you love this EP, you will love their last album A Different Shade of Blue. It's stomps from front to back. I still think the EP is their magnum opus so far but that last record is something to behold as well.
