Ive seen them a few times. The most recent show was like 3-4 months ago in Pittsburgh. I will say it was the most insane show I been to in general. Usually when you’re in the pit there’s just one big circle in the center of the pit. Not this show lol there was one in the center, and then 4 smaller pits in each corner of the venue. Eventually…after the 3rd song the whole venue was a mosh pit. NO ONE was safe 😂 very last song was a brutal wall of death. Show was a fun ass time!
Update: Loved the reaction as always and Dallas, your facial expressions kill me during the more brutal stuff 😂 also I will say that’s not your “traditional style” of moshing. That just straight up crowd killing lol but for real crowd kill is a type of moshing that the intent is to basically start hurting people 😂 you’ll really only catch that much brutality within a crowd at shows that are more hardcore. So basically, we’re still gonna get you in that pit sis, just not a crowd killer lol

These guys rock, I saw them at a festival once. As some other commenters mentioned, 'counting worms' is about death - the singer said it's supposed to be a riff on 'counting sheep'. My interpretation of the lyrics...uh, I mean the lyric...is that he's saying if you're not getting better you might as well be dead. Definitely not the only possible interpretation, but it inspires me.

First time my son went to a concert like this he wanted to get in the pit. He's autistic and warned him it get crazy but the people in side will pick you up if you fall. I seen someone hit the ground I picked him up it was my son. The look on his face was priceless he looked so excited. This has became his favorite band and this video has him hell bent to be in the chaos of their pits. For someone who hates being touched loves this change of environment. This band is one of his biggest obsessions. His anxiety drains out of him.
What people are doing here in the pit is called "violent dancing" or "hardcore dancing". It's a thing that you'll almost exclusively see in the heaviest subgenres of Hardcore Punk, especially beatdown. It's basically just a more intense form of moshing which of course has the same effect and reason. People do that to get emotions out and release pressure. Actually, the Hardcore genre is one of the few genres, even in metal, where there's actually a good chance of getting hurt in the pit. But it's not like that would be a secret. By going to a concert like that, most people will know what to expect. Hardcore dancing obviously came from the Hardcore Punk subculture. Especially when Hardcore emerged from the original Punk, mainly but not only in NYC, the main difference in regard of the "old" style was, that Hardcore itself was carried by a more pessimistic, often almost nihilistic and very angry world view. The bands as well as the community had a lot of hatred and anger inside of them and the music was their way to let that out. Beatdown, as an extreme subgenre of Hardcore Punk, basically is the next evolutionary step on that leader. Also, in modern Beatdown, the lyrics focus more (although not completely) on personal struggles, depression, anger, general mental issues and so on, while the original Hardcore Punk was still more focused on political topics. Btw, that doesn't mean that Beatdown is completely unpolitical or only depressed stuff. For example, Knocked Loose talk about the issue of growing capitalism in America on the "Slaughterhouse"-Tracks (Slaughterhouse Part 1&2) they did together wit Motionless in White. And, as another example, there's an English band by the name of "Pintglass", whose lyrics are often more like the classical English old school Punk songs, talking mainly about Beer.

OMG this reaction is way too funny lol I would do almost anything to go to a Knocked Loose show with you guys cause I feel like it would be hilarious. This music video reminds me of the time I went to see Knocked Loose. I was sooo excited and they hadn’t even started their first freakin song yet, like they were just starting to enter the stage, and some large man spin kicked me right in the side of the head and I felt like I about died for a solid 10 seconds I’ve seen them live probably about 20 times by now and it’s always incredible. Where else do you get to be that free?? Like you don’t even have to hold back any energy or emotions, you can just start punching the air and occasionally hit a willing participant in the head. It looks awful but I guess for people who have stuff built up inside it's a huge relief, like bro, the sleep I get after a concert is unmatched. Knocked Loose's lead singer just sounds like an angry spongebob 😂😂. I haven't been able to get too much into this band bc of Bryan Garris's voice. But I have learned to tolerate his lead vocals , bc the band has always been phenomenal instrumentally. I kinda wish Isaac the guitarist , that does the deeper screams , wouldve taken over lead vocals.
Knocked Loose is like a good bourbon. Once you get over the burning sensation in your throat, you start to appreciate the subtleties.

I'm 62 this year and I still go to Hardcore shows, the energy is unmatched and it keeps me finely tuned for the rest of the week.
