Hi man, thanks for checking it out! You will get it, just keep playing! If you haven’t checked this out already I highly recommend it. Mandolessons.com. I used that a lot when I started playing mando and it helped a lot. Also he has backing tracks for all the tunes so it’s nice to play along with!
I'm with you on that. He's not a beginner player & you have to be better than a beginner to get this reach or certainly this fast...very nice though, love the tune
@Matteo I've been playing for around a year. If you sink yourself into it, and just play tunes you enjoy for minimum 30 mins a day (which for me turned to 2 hours, because its FUN, not a chore or competition), you will improve much quicker than you think. Don't think about what you'll one day play, think of what you can play now.
Musicians in 2020s have fortune of youtube to inspire and encourage their playing it did not exist when Istarted learning . This tune is good on bouzouki also
Hey man, so the best thing you can do for tab is go to www.thesession.org and find the tune you want a tab for. Copy the abc of the tune and paste it in here michaeleskin.com/abctools/abctools.html. That way you can get mandolin, guitar and all sorts of other tabs for the tunes you want. I do all of this because I can’t read notes..
@@TheAnonymousPunter hmmm I guess it could be... I'm not really an expert on these instruments. But she is Russian. And she plays many different instruments :)
@@TheAnonymousPunter She's playing a 3-string domra, tuned in 4ths. There are also 4-stringed domras tuned in 5ths (like a mandolin), and a good natured rivalry between them. They are both often seen playing alongside their (triangular) balalaika playing friends. But as I'm working on learning Gravel Walk on a good old 8-string mandolin, thank you for the very nice demo.
I dream of being able to play this on my mando. Not even close to good enough yet

Lovely tune. Thanks and best wishes from Perth Western Australia
Thanks very much Noel! Ah Perth is a nice spot, I spent some time there a few years ago now.

Yea that’s true, I have had a lot of Inspiration from TH-cam.
This song can be played with the same fingering technique on the tenor banjo and fiddle.
Haha no shit
@@MooSaidChicken the tuning on a fiddle, mandolin, and tenor banjo is GDAE.
I bought the book and would love to learn to play this…is it possible to share the tab version of the music please!

Awesome!
Thanks Waffel, feels like a long time ago making this video!
Fantastic
tune kesukaanku. matur suksma
This song is a nightmare for me on fiddle. I can only imagine trying it on banjo or Mandolin…
Actually easier, as the bowing is what I find hardest on fiddle
Very good
Cheers Colin, that feels like a long time ago now!
Solid!!
Thanks man!
What is your mandolin brand type? Your cover sounds delightful!
Hey, Thank you very much. It's an old Levin mandolin that I found in the second hand shop in Sweden when I lived there.
Βravoo !
Thanks man
Successfull 🐌❤
