- Nairobi National Park is located less than 10 kilometers from the center of Kenya's capital - Nairobi, and you can see animals, with the city tall buildings in the background. Many species inhabit the park: rhinos, gazelles, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, lions, elands, impala, giraffes, ostriches, vultures, wildebeests, cheetahs, leopards, various bird species. The wildlife is more abundant in the dry season. The David Sheldrick Trust runs Elephant Nursery (Orphanage) in the park.

I remember living here as a child over 15 years ago. I lived in south C and it was bordered by the national park and I would just walk along the fence and see all types of animals. Very beautiful!! I miss it

the park has been increased in size from 29000 acres to 78000. no encroachment into wildlife territories
