Nice. Thats the way I use to play Recon since BF1. M95 is fine, Lee Enfield is nice for pushing. Ross gives me BF1 chills. Recently I'm into the Krag Jørgensen for its cool IS. Iron sights is harter to play but so much fun and every kill feels so rewarding.
I really hope they fix the ping issue. I went from 20-30 ping to 100+ with spikes up to 150. Everyone else in the game is at 100+ as well. It's absurd how long they're taking to fix it.

I only play irons. Been doing that since BF1 and just can't use scopes anymore. Sure I won't be scoring super-long headshots all game, but I don't give a crap about those. If you are trying to farm them, odds are you aren't contributing to your team's victory. Irons and aggressive play is the way to go. Edit: yes, it is a GREAT practice for Hunt Showdown. Hahahahaha
i used the ironsight on half of my loadouts.For me some of the scopes are just rubbish,and i love the more natural version of the weapons anyway.That was when i still played the game,but for 2 month now i havent done that.Had enough of the unbalanced,bugy bulls**t that game has..Counter strike 1.6 had netter balancing in 2000
if you wanted to be a “german infantry men” why didn’t you use the K98k edit: thanks for likes and great replies, but i still don’t think the m95 would be the best fit, k98 was standard issue and if your going off historical accuracy then definitely the k98.
I'm mainly on iron sights, too. Unlike in previous games, BFV reflex sights aren't even better choices on a lot of guns. Iron sights always give you greater magnification (except actual scopes of course ). This is a really welcome new feature in my book, as with iron sights all weapons feel much more distinct from one another, too. :)
Debott I actually find it interesting too, the design of the iron sights on each gun. They give it something of a personality. I thrash with the Gewer43 because the iron sight is like a pin and makes it very easy to see exactly where the round is going to land, even with greater distance shots.
I really like BFV. I'm not enough of a hardcore player for HLL, yet I very much enjoy that BFV is that tad more hardcore than BF1. It's the perfect inbetween for me. ^^
BF1 had the most hardcore "Hardcore mode" out of any Battlefield game... No HUD, no markers to denote teams, you had to memorize faction uniforms and vehicles....
I was just checking this video to see if at least dice tryed to capture the balance of ww2 and i see in the description that jackfrags is just roleplaying and there is no fucking rifleman class, man fuck this bullshit, dice are lazy as fuck, they spent their fucking budget in making graphics designers draw beautifull maps based around ww2 but they aren't making a ww2 game, it's just the motherfucking setting of this generic battlefield 3 variation, holy shit dice you never fail to dissapoint me
I miss the Liu so much. By far my favourite BF1 gun, and one I would be happy to see reused as a Tides of War reward (better a copy-paste gun than another facepaint, IMO). I've been playing ironsights only with my Kar 98 and it's been quite a fresh way of playing Recon, all your tactics subtly change when you can't rely on seeing everything at range anymore. Definitely recommend trying it out.

M.95 is my Favourite sniper rifle in this game! In BF1 it was very enjoyable and had good Iron sights, but the 98 was my favourite. It’s a much better rifle in BFV this time around.

Main modification was the rechambering to 8×56mmR cartridge. Other changes were the conversion of ladder sights from the older pace unit to meters and addition of a brass front sight protector. Many long rifles were cut down to Stutzen length. Most of M95/30s were sent to Bulgaria during 1938-40, where front sight protectors were removed.
love that you did this! in both BF1 and BFV I went for the "stereotypical" Allied infantry load out. Always use the Lee Enfield as my primary and 1911 as my secondary.

But you can still take it a step farther, if you can top frag with an M28 Tromboncino or even worse, the Commando Carbine (both iron sighted of course), then you are a true god! And it offers good practice and discipline for headshots, I did it on Squad Conquest, above 30 kills was my personal record (M28) but I don’t remember the exact number so I’m going to keep it at that. Only sniping the snipers with an M30 Drilling provides the same amount of satisfaction as getting a triple kill all headshots in 2 seconds. That’s without considering the entertaining reaction from the chat. Edit: Of course, this is on PC. I literally simply cannot imagine doing that on a console.
I too experience the "bayonet icon bug" randomly as well. Shows that you have a bayonet equipped when it is not selected in your specialization tree. Bayonet charge does not work, though.

You don't have to unscope for any of the Sniper Rifles if you use iron sights.

My only thought is Kar98k was used more often as a scoped rifle and M95 more of a rifleman issued weapon.

Using a Lee Enfield with iron sights and the faster bolt speed is one of my favourite weapons to use in the game. Kills feel so satisfying
