"The Mis-Education of the Negro" Carter G. Woodson. Written in 1933. A classic about our miseducation.

Professor Hunter I love the question/statement," What does it mean to be white". How can you identify with something that you can not even define. Thank you as always, you are a blessing.

I work with a bunch of these mediocre whyte males everyday! Ignorant, lacking ideas, rude, constantly putting me down, stealing my ideas and attempting to subvert my position. She is spot on!

@@mccoyReturned my hope is that we can find commonality within our differences. We can find a reason to support vs. destroy and for once not aspire to be some of what they are but all of what we are.

@Lisa Hill yes they will steal your ideas right in front of your eyes in a staff meeting were you proposed the very idea. I refuse to give ideas at work I will take them to my grave before i give it to an oppressor

@@Az-dc4nu this is so true. I have literally looked at them, as they turn red in the face after I state that I told them that 2 or 3 weeks prior to them bringing it back up. Can you imagine being a group of people where your legacy is theft, murder, rape, disease bringer and small minded.

@@Az-dc4nu I have seen it first hand and I was shocked. My black female boss had her ideas stolen by her white male superior. He then had the nerve to place her on that particular team so he could steal more of her ideas.

The concept of whiteness being compared to a pyramid scheme that never pays off is on point.
. I had a coworker tell me he was not a white boy but an Italian. And he said everybody knows that the white cops are going to harass you if you’re black and driving through our city. Here’s the thing , I got a job offer to get back into a field that paid more money and left that company , this guy will be operating a tow motor probably until the day he dies. So, he has an awareness of this white system but, because he truly is a mediocre person he can’t do what I did and change his position. It’s like I always say ; being a black man is my superpower, I can endure and succeed because I am a black man.

The hidden gem here many 8:41 people missed is that women are driven to power. White women attach themselves to white male power because of perceived and real power no matter immoral and black women treat black men as less than for the perceived lack of power, but will many will do anything for a black male celebrity who doesn’t respect them but not respect a hard working black man who is moral but doesn’t have an exorbitant amount of money or power. As the landscape has changed for white men, they are seeing the relationship between them and white women change as well.
