Going to get one in the next couple months to work in partnership with my Roland TR-6s, Which i highly recommend a TR-6s if anyone is looking at one. I may also get the TR-8s for studio and keep my 6s for travel or when im out in the living room and dont want to fire up all my heavy gear for a simple beat to lay down.
I play electronic percussion and use the J-6 with a KAT DITI. This is saving me a bunch of time, rather then programming chords. Next, hook up some of my sound modules!😊 Great idea machine! Thanks again.
me too, same day from Sweetwater, mine only plays one pattern, not sure if it got zapped by electrostatic on my bed or was faulty. they are sending another
Question for the experts: to record directly to the computer. Do I need to connect to a sound card or directly to the computer and record through Ableton?
@@OneFingerSynth because most people have daw,s wich have chord generators that do somuch more! for instant type of genre chords etc for who cant play chords. so thats thats why i ask what makes this so special ;)
@@OneFingerSynth to be specific, can it strum chords, can you trigger external gear with it. for instant my deepmind has a chords generator but you can also record own chords into it and have fun ways creating unique sounds you normaly wouldnt come up with :)
even so this is just different, I have a DAW but in general this is just better for me, and no particular DAW/software is going to do what this does, so much is integrated that it would require several software products, this will work well past our computers life span and operating system changes.
@@evankeal well thats why im asking haha. is it diffrent and worth the bucks:) from what i hear in this video the chords sound very to the generator in my deepmind:) or in my cubase. wich daw do you use?
These chord progressions sound lovely. So many ideas to learn from this little machine

Thanks for this! I watched reviews but was still looking for this very specific demonstration.

Just ordered mine an hour ago and already shipped from Sweetwater. (on a Sunday). SWEET!!

@@evankeal Mine seems to be OK but I've yet to go through it. Hope you have better luck this time.
Dear One Finger Synth, aka Mr. Thing Addams, I enjoyed your TV show, movies and TH-cam videos!
Noi I am impressed with this machine
Yes, definitely want this. Awesome! 😎🔥🔥🔥
how many factory presets does it have? more or less than the JU-06a ? thinking purchasing one.. thanks
Thanks! This is a nice systematic review
Beautiful
Well done, dude.
How many sounds/patches?, seems like great lil machine for chordprogessions! - Levi in Sweden
Thanks for the video! Does it export midi files for the chords and arpeggios to a DAW?
Please respond by real-time recording on the DAW. File export is not available.
Does anyone have the sound preset list, are any of them definitely same as Juno 60?
Question for the experts:
to record directly to the computer.
Do I need to connect to a sound card or directly to the computer and record through Ableton?
Pretty sure it does audio over USB
hello, what's the sound setting to sound like ordinary bass guitar. ty
I don't know anything about that.
You're on your own for that kind of thing.
Most daws have chord plugins build in. So what makes this special? Can you control other synth sounds with it?
Why are you comparing J-6 to DAW software?
J-6 is just a chord sequencer.

can that "clicky attack" be removed from the sound??
Tinker with "FILTER" and "ENVELOPE" to be sure.
Are there no bass patches on this unit?
Why would there be bass patches? Have you ever heard a bass chord? And if so did it sound good lol? I'd guess no
@@GanjaBabyy you can play single notes on this synth sarcastic prk
@@jeremiahfire1798 it's a chord generator fam. It's not meant to play single bass notes.
@@GanjaBabyy this synth isn’t intended for bass, and bass isn’t intended to be played as chords - but no one can stop you doing either : )
