In the comments of one of my latest videos, I mentioned my idea of building a small community dedicated to those who want to build MOCs. I got a few positive responses, and in particular a felow AFOL experienced in moderating communities reached out and offered to partner with me in building such a community. We have been working on it, and I'm happy to announce that the MOC Builders Guild will launch in the end of August, beggining of September. This will be a private and free community, with a limited number of members, foccused on MOC building. I will do a video fully dedicated to it. But if you like what you read and want to apply, just fill in this google form: forms.gle/UfHfD7EfxhMrcQCJ8.
Lol I guess you did win the bet lol. I don’t build MOCs as my mind dose not work like that yet. But what I do is rebuild a set. Take pictures make a few videos for my channel and then disassemble it and then pop the parts in a small container. Then I go to rebrickable log those parts and then hit build to see what is the best build I can do with the parts I have and then buy the rest of the parts i need. Then built it. And later add those parts to the growing container lol. So it’s very much like what you do with your MOCs. I do it like this as I do not have any display space. But I love to build Lego sets. This is my way around building anything I like to and not worry about space for parts and space to display sets. Keep up the good work
That does give me hope to rebuild my old sets that I have/can get the pieces for. But yeah the best part of lego to me is amassing parts and building MOCs and well collecting finished sets and new sets is the sole reason I did not have a Lego dark age.
Indeed. The fact that I was not "free" to use all the parts in my collection for final MOCs was becoming really confusing. Which parts were spares or the remains that I didn't use from the 2 Diagon Alley set and which ones were from sets that I would want to rebuild in the future. Rebuilding them now will free me to then use any part in my collection for my MICs, instead of having to buy all the parts I need.

Never for a moment did I think you wouldn't win a bet JR - Nice one, man!
Ahahaha! Thanks, Miguel!

That's a great way of building a lot of different things without having LEGO spread all over the house! (and without spending a lot!)

Building MOCs is what makes LEGO so much more than other types of building kits. We can use the same parts to build so many different things.
oh god, awesome way of getting more parts... and, well, quality time for building old sets 😂
