Very enjoyable and informative video. I was interested in the exact model of the power sensing smart plug. The geeks watching this waant to know the exact detail. How do I get the exact code to study in print, rather than using a freeze frame on the video. Once again, keep up the good work with a smile and a joke or two.
Is it possible to have the led lights cycle thru random colors over a set time frame? I.e. on from sunset to sunrise with random color changes every hour? Thanks!
Absolutely! you'll have to use Rule Machine instead of the Room Lighting app, but it can be done. Watch this video on changing holiday lights to give you an idea how it is done: th-cam.com/video/CrfRUhfdbCo/w-d-xo.html
Yes, you conveniently omitted what the light strips and controller brand you used. Or does the new C8 actually support controllers that don’t require a degree in EE? Also, the C8 seems like a very nice upgrade. Now, if you’d update the UI from the the Year 2000, this would be a great tool.
More of these videos please....I've just learnt a ton of stuff from this video and using room lighting. Now to go a try some of this myself. Thanks 👍
More to come!
I loved the payoff of the joke of the before and after cabinets. It was like watching a video of every "surprise" I plan for my wife.
Nice... Which led light strips and controllers did you use?
Wiz lightstrips/controllers

Wiz lightstrips/controllers. No EE degree required.
Cyclones...do you have Iowa orgins?
No, but I spent 4 years and several thousand dollars there
@@Hubitat thank you for your support of our economy!
If HE could work with addressable LED's we could have a different color for each shelf..
