Thanks for the very informative video. I've ordered an MS-RA770. This will be the only Fusion component of my setup and I'm just curious if I can still use the DSP feature if I'm running non Fusion amps and speakers and if so, how does that work?
Just took possession of new Sea Ray with RA770. The BlueTooth is not working correctly. On Fusion website says they are waiting on Firmware update to fix this. Says there is a workaround by disabling WiFi. How do i disable WiFi? Thanks.
For your interior, subwoofer, towers and zone 4 do you have each zone on its own amplifier? Also what amp are you using for all the zones you have hooked up?
Hello. No we used an 8ch and a mono. Here's the article that details out how we wired everything up: www.caraudionow.com/axis-a22-fusion-stereo-upgrade/#amp_power_channel_distribution
Question. we have the prior generation without the WiFi steaming - but are thinking of upgrading so we can take full advantage of the Tidal HiFi music quality. When you set up the unit in Access Point mode and connect your phone to it’s “network”... does all data function stop working on your phone? Since the phone is essentially hooked up to a dead access point with no internet connection? say I’m a mile out on the lake, I still want the ability to send iMessages and other basic data tasks. It would suck if using the air play feature essentially turns your phone into a iPod with no connectivity.
Good question. Nope, your phone will work normally on your cellular data when you connect to it as an access point. You can't, however, connect to a second WiFi point I don't think.
Thanks for the info, this unit has a USB input in the back, can this be used to play music off a USB stick? if I install the likes of a BlueSeas 1044 USB extension to bring it to the front console ( to put USB stick in )... thanks
Yea it's very similar. The difference is in how you connect to the unit. It's either through WiFi + AirPlay or through Bluetooth. WiFi has a further range than Bluetooth but is a little more prone to WiFi interference depending on where you're using it.
Airplay will let you play to multiple devices at the same time also. In theory you can connect an appleTV and the fusion and have video on the TV and sound the stereo with your phone being the source.
Each source plays out of all zones, whether you’re using airplay as your source, Bluetooth, radio, etc. you can’t play airplay on one zone and Bluetooth on another. But you can adjust the volume of each zone independently
Each Zone has its own volume level, but they'll only be able to play from one source at a time. I know of no marine radio capable of mixing multiple sources simultaneously to multiple output zones.
Is there an operators manual for these radios? I am having trouble getting my Zone 2 speakers to play even after adjusting volume level to the max. Thanks
Yea it can be used in cars. The wiring is the same but the features are really designed for multi-zone marine applications for this unit. It’s also not going to fit your traditional single din or double din openings. But will it work? Yes.
Sorry but these are super basic features. Basically it connects to Bluetooth and you can play music through your phone.. absolutely nothing new here. At minimum it should have Spotify or other music apps built in so you don't need to connect to a 3rd party device.

I am also curious to know, have you found this out yet?
Yes the digital sound processor still works through other setup you don't need fusion we have em hooked up with jl audio and digital design setup

Please tell me how to find and pair my sirusfx to my iPhone using Bluetooth as I cannot find Bluetooth settings on the unit itself
what is the name again of the App that can control settings?
How many speakers can be paired to the head unit
What is difference between using Bluetooth and Apple AirPlay? Feel like it’s very similar?

When you air play to this stereo does it play out of all the zones or can your airplay to each individual zone
