Super late to the party but the XJC chat about 1:07:30 - I think I may know the car in question and it's actually nothing to do with Ian Callum, as far as I know. It's a grey XJC resto-modded by a UK outfit called Retropower, with an LS3 swap, and it does look absolutely beautiful. I get where the Ian Callum confusion comes in though, as it's very much cut from the same kind of cloth as his modified Mk2.
Ian Callum does have an XJC though, so I think Richard was talking about Ian's XJC. Ian Callum drives it in the second part of his "Idol Chat" on the Late Brake Show. I'd say it's more "resto" than "mod".
So miss Jonny and Richard sitting in car parks at random services just chatting crap about cars, the podcast is good but they were so much better when in the car together.
Rolex are a marketing company not a watch company. Experts at selling products and whipping fanboys into a frenzy. Perfectly good watches, but there are plenty of better watches out there.
“The host” is car journalist Matt Farah, who is as significant a figure in the industry as Richard is. It’s a conversation between friends, not a lame interview
