Kara and Nate, I have to be completely honest. My favorite thing isn't the amazing places you all see, or the multitude of nice people you meet with, or even the delicious foods you show us. It's the respect and reverance for all of the different cultures and lifestyles that you come across that I love the most. That's why your videos are so refreshing and enjoyable to watch.

Phajoding is the closest monastery to the capital that gives you an experience that ll make you feel you're so far away up in the mountains. For years I've looked up at the monastery from the comfort of my warm home in the capital not realizing the stories of the monks and lamas who worked tirelessly to make a life for the children there. It’s always done with a feeling of awe and respect and I think a lot of other travelers miss the mark with that. Very proud of you guys for always being open to new experiences and learning. It’s videos like these that remind you why you travel. ☺️
This vlog today really touched my heart. The Head Monk is to be commended for devoting his life to the children in his care. Is there any way to contribute to this monastery or is that not possible? Kara, I can certainly relate to your becoming emotional observing the goodness of some people who willingly sacrifice so much to benefit others in need. What an uplifting and positive program. Thank you so much for giving me this touching experience to stop and ponder on the goodness of people and how they impact all of us to be a little kinder to those in need. Throughout your journey you have shown people all over the world improving the lives of others around them in different ways. This uplifting and positive theme runs throughout your vlogs. Thanks for brightening our lives in so many ways!
@@lorenacharlotte8383 Why are you commenting so much negativity on this video? I have been following Kara and Nate for years and they are so loved by their viewers because of their authenticity, humility, and ability to take any situation and find the beauty and humor in it. Of course they have practiced making high-quality videos that they profit off of as well as other things, how else would they be able to afford full time travel? I encourage you to visit their website to see their blog and income reports. They are very transparent about how they earn an income. In fact, they talk a lot about how they do not wish to rely on TH-cam for money because it is so unstable. They work so hard to be able to live their dream and it inspires so many.
Danielle Starmer : That is the point. Agree with you as far as they good making of the videos but disagree with all the rest of your saying. I was subscribed to their channel till yesterday. Kara, Nate, it's pretty obvious you're about to come to a "Y" in the road ahead. You're about to travel to your 100th country after four years of travels and hundreds of videos. You've built a following that's scared to death of what comes next for you two because we know this could mean the end of your work entertaining us. Personally, I'd love to see you adopt one of those children from the monastery and take the road less traveled by showing them the world through your loving eyes. You two were meant to be parents!
Wow ! This granny Just had to share my first time I have ever met monks ! It Was in Walmart this New Year’s Eve Day. turned around looked up, walking towards me were two older monks in bright orange robes, I smiled said happy new year, they both nodded smiled and replied happy new year to you . I felt so blessed ! What a fantastic video! Thank you Kara and Nate ! God bless, ❤️
I accidentally stumbled upon this vid and was blown away by this unique look into this fascinating culture and now I’m hooked onto your other vids. Hoping we can all travel overseas again soon ✈️
I have said it before and I will say it again (as have others here), I LOVE the respect, love, and concern you show for others around the world. Kara brought tears to my eyes with her obvious care for the kids at the monastery.
I watch all your videos but I seldom comment--I don't ever have anything to say that's any different from what a thousand other people say. But I think this video and the last one are the very best you've ever done. I'm an old curmudgeon, but this one, seeing those happy little kids, actually brought tears to my eyes. I'm going right back now to watch it again.
Das ist ein sehr schöner Film über Achtsamkeit, Respekt und Verbundenheit. Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland. This is a beautiful film about respect, awareness and warmness. All the best from Germany !
Love the music you always choose and just went all over ES searching for Yim Him ... to no avail... and then did a full search of Giants' Next and came up with YIm Yim. Ahhh haaa!! My Bergen episode is now saved! 😍🎼 You're right, this was a VERY touching episode, and it's nice to still see all the children at the monastery running around with smiles on their faces.
OMG so sorry for the typo!!!! Hahaha glad you still found it though :) ES is the best and Giant's Nest is one of my new faves too! Happy you liked this episode 💙
Also, I am like SO happy that at least one person has benefitted from the song titles being listed in the description. I seriously type those out every episode and wonder if it's a complete waste of time😂
@@KaraandNate Ha, DON'T be sorry! It was a fun little treasure hunt and a nice break for me since I had editor's block anyway. Loved the episode and can't wait to see through country 100 and beyond! Congrats on hitting both that and 1M subs. :)
@@KaraandNate Well know that at least ONE person is very happy you take the time to do it, haha. Our viewers always get so into the music that by demand I've had to begin listing all the songs within our episodes (at the end) as well as in the description. What a beautiful story about the head monk and the children. I just want to scoop them all up in a big hug! I love the children’s desire to be polite and to speak well. They are so cute!
I often think of this "analogy" when I'm extremely happy and at ease: "Take the moment in your life that made you the happiest above all else, take that feeling and multiply it with the size of the universe. That's the amount of joy that I am experiencing atm" Now, often times your videos also make me feel like that🌈❤
By watching this video I realized how grateful we all are to have internet nd all the daily requirements as a teen!!! Really really grateful and also can't even think about how there life is
I've been a subscriber for a while now but never really left comments. However, after watching this episode, I must leave my opinion. This was the most beautiful and inspiring visit I have ever watched. These monks are an incredible group, especially the head monk. The children are so sweet. Kara, after watching you with them, I could definitely see that you were once a teacher and will make an awesome mother some day! Thank you both for this inspirational episode.

Kara you make me 😢 cry! That’s the kind of stories you never heard on news but the world needs to know about the great work the leader monk is doing for those children. Thanks for sharing a great story!
Kate you make my heart melt every time I watch your videos. Your kindness is sincere and I love that you are so open to experiencing new things with a positive attitude! You are an evolved human being...DAMN YOU ARE AWESOME!.......w/ love Pierce
Such a peaceful Beautiful Country !! I was in India for 4 months , Bhutan is on my list !! Thank you and greetings from New York City !! I’m from Brazil but I live in New York for 30 years and I enjoy your videos ! Blessings 🙏🙏🙏👏🏻😀👍❤️
You guys are Killin it with this Bhutan trip! Best thing on YT this week!
Aww thank you 🤗❤️
That's My Country 🤗❤️💓 🇧🇹
God bless you 😇😘💐 guys...
Wow looks amazing. I have a feeling this small country will get a lot of visitors soon. This video alone has made me see how amazing Bhutan is.
This is why I love Kara and Nate. They get genuinely immersed with the culture wherever they go.
Thank you, James ❤️
I loved this. I can't believe how many tears I've shed watching your vlogs. ❤
It's my least favorite part of finalizing everything, but I actually get crap about it if I skip it. Btw, thanks also for taking time to put out your editing course. I took it after being on Premier for 2 years and still learned a lot of new things! 👍
@@KaraandNate Visit the Northern Areas of Pakistan which are much beautiful than Europe...
Damn you guys!!! Why are you so awesome? Here I am at the end of a long tiring day, lights off, under my blanket, ready to sleep and your video pops up, now I'm wide awake and excited to know about your 100th country. Stop being so genuinely nice.
Omg I clicked on this right away, I love watching you. Everyday it makes my day! You guys are my absolute favorite youtubers/inflencers. Thank you so much for making my 2019 happy new year! Excited to see and follow your upcoming adventures! ❤️
'i have been praying for the monks for years..I never leave them out..yes.. they're amazing..'💓
Thank you once again for taking us on an adventure so few of us will ever experience otherwise. How open and wise the Head Monk was and what a wonderful human being he is. Magical vistas and wonderful people. Thank you very much.
What a beautiful story about the head monk and the children. I just want to scoop them all up in a big hug! I love the children’s desire to be polite and to speak well. They are so cute!
I was glad you got up at 6am too. Beautiful view. Love the way you guys interacted with the kids. nothing but warm fuzzy feelings here.
I often think of this "analogy" when I'm extremely happy and at ease:
"Take the moment in your life that made you the happiest above all else, take that feeling and multiply it with the size of the universe. That's the amount of joy that I am experiencing atm"
Now, often times your videos also make me feel like that🌈❤
I bet you never thought you'd be having a running race with baby monks in this lifetime ❤
The little kids running down the path, singing, is the best image of happiness!
Thank you so much Ruth Ann :)
Beautiful storytelling, y'all. Bhutan is high on my wish list to visit and you've showed such a special side of the country. Thank you for taking us along!
These children...absolute beautiful souls GOD BE WITH THEM....
This one has one of the most stuning scenario ever!
I don’t know if i will ever make it there but you guys just made me interested so so so much for travelling Bhutan!
Moved to tears watching the head monk speak with such stoicism. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful place. It’s now at the top of my bucket list.
It's incredible you have a chance to hear all these stories, but even more so that you can share it with over a million of us so we can experience it too!
The Head Monk is such an amazing person, the smile on his face is everything. Thank you Kara and Nate bring your experiences to us.
Wow- I’m tearing up too. I’ve been watching your videos for years and this is now my favourite - you’re finishing so well!
I understand the hike is incredibly beautiful and hard to do, but , can you imagine how hard it is to get the things up there to build the incredible Monastery!!
I almost cried because of how nice everyone was
💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
yes we are and I recommend you to visit as well. I swear you will love my country and the nature
I really enjoyed this video - it reminded me of my own stay with Buddhist monks in a monastery in Luang Prabang in Laos in 2006. The head monk is such an inspiration indeed! He shows the power of living for others in need can lead to true happiness.
This video is so amazing. I have watched it a million times. This video makes me so happy. All the little boys running around playing with each other. To see how much fun there all having play games with you guys is so hart worming.
I started from the beginning and I’m slowly making my way through your videos, but this has to be my favorite vlog by y’all thus far! My heart! Thank you.
So happy I found you and get to travel the world through your videos!
Yippeee! 💜
Kara is very compassionate and pure in her heart. The world needs more and more personalities like her. Respect .
Thank you for showing us the depth and emotion of traveling! I would be cozied up to the heater all night long! Love it!
7:51 OMG! That's Carrum! My dad and I play that a ton. Just wanted to add, Kara and Nate are truly an aspiration in person. Without them, my inquiries about the entire world would be completely perished...
Just a HUGE thank you to them. You dearly brighten my day, and make my life happier. Thank you so much. Please, don't ever quit this "Job". You guys are pretty great at it. :)
A different version of Carrum than how I play.
Kara you had me crying too. Thank you both for this lovely video x
Its so beautiful how these monks are so compassionate and happy
WHO IS CHOPPING ALL THE ONIONS?? 😭😭 maybe it was the smoke from the fire...
For real though, I’ve been looking forward to this series since I saw where you were on Instagram. Incredible views and even more incredible people.
Thank you for being you and sharing your experiences with us! ❤️ May your 2020 be as inspirational as your 2019 has been.
This was probably one of my favorite videos yall have done! Thank you for showing us more of the world.
