They invested really well in the pixel style. At first you think it’s another game following a trend but it accommodates a lot of different graphics: Hand drawn, 16bit, 3D, photography, claymation with the pixilated shading. Really cool seeing three different themes going on and they all feel like one game.
That's why having "mind battles" is such a good idea for a game like this, it allows for a lot of different styles to be used without it having to be too jarring.
