  • My name is Chrome i have been living in y cargo van for 6 years now. I started this lifestyle BROKE and IN DEBT and after 11 months of living the van life i cleared my debt and started to put my life back together and build for a better future. I have turned my original van into a badass camper van that is lifted with all the toys. Over the years i went from being broke and stealth camping in the city and sleeping at walmart's... to now, living full time in a jacked up van and driving deep off-grid into the backcountry and living life in the dirt. WOW LIFE HAS CHANGED.
    I now have a shop space to keep me busy through the winters here on Canada's West coast. Went from Van Life to VAN LIFE + SHOP LIFE !!!!!! Come join this crazy van life journey of mine. HIT SUBSCRIBE, trust me its gonna be a WILD RIDE.

      The smoke coming from bc is insanely annoying. The summer last yr was screwed because of the wildfires up there, drifting smoke and making the air quality 💩 the entire summer. The fire mitigation they have up there sucks. If you can't get a handle and prioritize a fire, your trippy Trudeau needs to go. Well another reason he needs to go😒.

They still have the long term reservable sties, but people were filling campgrounds a year out! So they now have a set number in most campgrounds that are set aside for short notice type of visitors.

    • @zeroremorse24x7
      @zeroremorse24x7 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @MyVanHaven I feel that. For me the box truck is just easier to build the inner walls/insulation and also will be much easier to keep out bugs and spiders lol. Also, roof space for solar. But the main main reason for me is that I need room for some side businesses I'm looking to run out of the truck.
      Main thing is that you consider all the ways you plan to use the vehicle so you don't end up in a situation where what you have can't do the things you want to do.

Really hard to predict far out what the fire season will be like. There is more volatility in weather so almost anythibg is possible at any time. I say go for it and it just makes things more interesting for you and your viewer. Maybe I will come down to Whitehorse when you are there, it's just an 8 hour drive from Fairbanks!

    Got the same issue on Denman except that I missed the last ferry on both sides, VI or Hornby. Got trapped with nowhere to go. It was dark so I stayed overnight closed to a park and took off first thing in the morning. Very annoying when you can’t stop, it is private properties everywhere, only 10 campsites, even the ferry terminal did not have overnight stall. Be aware if you decide to stay on the Island this summer, it is a nighmare! Off season is fine, but summer time is crowded everywhere even in the backcounty.

    Here in Wisconsin, we have an air quality warning because of the Canadian fires and a fire in Minnesota as well 😢

    Yeah, I'm shocked Denman still doesn't have more camping!!! Hornby has only two. Tribune Bay beach is awesome! The campground next to it was so-so, but that was a couple decades ago, so maybe better or worse now. Same with Brad's Dad's Land. And I agree, more folks should get on board with having 1 or 2 camp spots on their properties, if the have room. I did see once a site online that listed driveways to stay at. I think it was a membership thing to use the website. So folks list for free or a 'donation' and a small fee per night. Cool idea.

    Not to nit pick, but the fire that caused people to evacuate fort nelson was due to a tree that was blown over by the wind and hit a powerline and started the fire. Wasnt previous burning fires.

    San Clemente has beaches there’s backcountry in the mountains and we could have three beers. Also, the gas is gonna be cheaper here for you even though it’s California prices.

    Wildfire smoke rolled into SE Saskatchewan last night and it’s still here. Not a good sign for the summer season.
