Johan Galtung is saying that if we can put aside the violent manifestation of Islam, we can learn a thing or two such as having a sense of unity and solidarity and charity/ giving to the poor. Without having to convert.
But the West likes to focus on the down aspects of things like questions about the hijab and women, terrorism to dismiss a religious ideology without looking at the beneficial aspects.
It doesn’t directly address the Israel/Palestine conflict, but it’s wisdom regardless. And it speaks to the politics of today, the dehumanisation of muslims as some backward group of people who like violence and oppressing women, which hinders people from seeing their humanity, so that we (the West) can appreciate the diversity of cultures which could benefit our society.

He is terribly ignorant about the islam integration in life of muslims and especially islam and regulating state
in islam Judge is higher authority with Sharia law which is so logical law and so flexible and systematic (for who like to search seek truth and learn about it ) so State is executive authority of law in islam and Juridical system is the head with one condition is using logic (time, place, customs and traditions into consideration)
that is what many muslims want
according to sharia muslims has example head of every tribe did choose first caliphate so also
    every city choose head
all city heads elects governor and governors elect president with conformation to good clean character and pious knowledgable , honest and sincere person etc
islam didn't put specific mechanism but after prophet passed away people followed Shorah (collaboration and discussion to choose ) which is not much different than what i mentioned above and close to democracy
in sharia no corruption , human come first.
there is zakah (tax) there is Giziah for non muslims citizens who don't want to serve in army (protecting nation)
there is resources with justice to serve people not the president or caliphate or what ever head of state as all just serving people with law over them not hem over law
islam is systematic and complete by itself but people are different opinions and directions and for most stupid and ignorant so we cant say islam would be a state soon or later for now as it depend on a knowledgable pious mass of people to build a state for it
and by the way it is not dangerous to others on contrary who read quran and knows it well (not from ignorant and haters side) knowledgable of it will understand as all muslims according to quran can't attack others (that is clear in all verses ) only defend if you are attacked and the enemy want peace go for it and keep uour promises but make sure you are always ready to defend your people and state
and no pre-emptive strikes or attack allowed by Allah only defend yourself
accept it or not that is quran I'm not here to talk about caliphate after all I'm talking about islam it is totally different thing.
