I only started watching WNBA because of CC. I was kind of impressed with the whole leauge at first. I despise dirty play in all sports. The eye gouge and all of the blows to the head was a complete turn-off for me. I probably would have kept watching the playoffs if they beat CC fair and square, but if they don't get control of these dirty racist players I think they are doomed.
The number of times she was fouled, and how flagrant they were, is proof that she was targeted, and the refs had to be complicit in not calling them. Name one other player who had her eyes gouged. And no foul called.

Finishing in last place in a 12 team league two years in a row and then 10th the year before you got CC to 6th and first time in the playoffs with CC, I say she had to elevate the players around her. Also, watching the few games of the season the players around CC sure looked like the majority of other players in the league, missing easy layups and shots. Towards the end of the season, I saw a massive improvement of the players around her where she could pass the ball off to them and they didn’t miss easy layups. So, yeah, CC did improve the play of those around her!

If your league gets 500k in viewership for a televised game or 8,000 in the seats at your stadium, you are not a successful sport. Without fans and viewership, you are not profitable. The WNBA has never made a profit in its 28 years. You only still exist at all because the mens league is carrying you financially. Just about every fan says the same thing about Clark she's "exciting" to watch. 28 years in, and they finally start watching because its "exciting." Maybe WNBA leadership might want to expand on that idea. Unfortunately, it seems like they don't. The WNBA, in its infancy, had the option of lowering the net to make the game more exciting by adding the ability to dunk they chose not to do so. Women are different than men, a shocking reality that manifests with bone density and muscle densities, that allow for higher jumping. Skill in shooting accuracy and basic talants remain about equal. Reese had a video of her record of missed layups go viral because, unfortunately, she had many. It's indicative of the lack of excitement in the league that needs to be addressed.

@@melee6756 Are you insane? CC is still fourth in assists for the postseason. CC set the rookie record for most assists. Also, her teammates got her the ball more because she got it through the hoop. Finishing in last place in a 12 team league two years in a row and then 10th the year before you got CC to 6th and first time in the playoffs with CC, I say she had to elevate the players around her. Also, watching the few games of the season the players around CC sure looked like the majority of other players in the league, missing easy layups and shots. Towards the end of the season, I saw a massive improvement of the players around her where she could pass the ball off to them and they didn’t miss easy layups. So, yeah, CC did improve the play of those around her!

The "dub" has been so unpopular that in order to garner some fan excitement, that the officials haven't stopped the bush league thuggery. Because many in the league just couldn't bring in the fans. With CC playing, that should have been much better tamped down. It was a screw-up that will drive woman's basketball back down to nearly pre-Caitlin levels. It's sad, but it's over.

Clark brought in millions of new fans. To which the WNBA players started calling them racist, toxic, unwanted, and gasp white. Last, I knew money is green, and that should be the only color that matters in a business or a sport, that and talent. The leadership at the WNBA did nothing about player biases or personal views. They turned a blind eye to it. Causing many new fans to be turned off by it. So when Clark and her team got eliminated, the new fans shut off the WNBA, and its viewership went back to its abysmal ratings and normal attendance numbers. Something the league has been saying were historically good numbers for them, and there lies the big problem. If your league gets 500k in viewership for a televised game or 8,000 in the seats at your stadium, you are not a successful sport. Without fans and viewership, you are not profitable. The WNBA has never made a profit in its 28 years. You only still exist at all because the mens league is carrying you financially. Just about every fan says the same thing about Clark she's "exciting" to watch. 28 years in, and they finally start watching because its "exciting." Maybe WNBA leadership might want to expand on that idea. Unfortunately, it seems like they don't. The WNBA, in its infancy, had the option of lowering the net to make the game more exciting by adding the ability to dunk they chose not to do so. Women are different than men, a shocking reality that manifests with bone density and muscle densities, that allow for higher jumping. Skill in shooting accuracy and basic talants remain about equal. Reese had a video of her record of missed layups go viral because, unfortunately, she had many. It's indicative of the lack of excitement in the league that needs to be addressed.
Refs are terrible... Not calling fouls, not ejecting players for assault.... ridiculous league. Won't miss them.
