It was also a great tool for burning through vegetation if they ever suspected enemy hiding in wooded areas
there were several types of rifle grenades for the M1 garand and springfield rifle. this included a normal handgrenade, an HE grenade, a smoke grenade and anti-tank grenade.

You just have to keep moving, that’s all. Run from cover to cover, shoot anyone in front of you, keep moving forward. Don’t wait around for them to throw grenades. When they start throwing grenades you’re basically already dead, might as well restart from the checkpoint.

I still haven't finished the entire campaign on veteran. I started it in Sr year of high school and it's still chilling on blood and iron. I have never seen so many grenade indicators in my life.
Phelpo Rock Blood and Iron is really hard just because of how everything can insta-kill you, but it’s nowhere near heart of the reich and downfall. Those missions are impossible with infinitely spawning enemies who all have grenades. You have to constantly push up, and if you die, hope enemies respawn in the same spots and run the same strat again until it works

all nations used rifle grenades. the french loved them so mutch they still use them sometimes. the british used them as late as the 90s according to some sources... the germans, well the germans created anti-tank rifle grenades with ~90mm of penatration (according to US testing of it) and thats the weaker 30mm one, the soviets also did this after the war, and these anti-tank rifle grenades still pop up here and there. atleast 1 Isreali tank was taken out by one such anti-tank rifle grenade in Lebanon in the 80s...

I still haven't finished the entire campaign on veteran. I started it in Sr year of high school and it's still chilling on blood and iron. I have never seen so many grenade indicators in my life.
Not to brag but I finished it on veteran, took me 3 weeks of playing every day
Comrade Sam took me 2 days on PC to get it done. Meanwhile on console when I was younger, it took forever
Phelpo Rock Blood and Iron is really hard just because of how everything can insta-kill you, but it’s nowhere near heart of the reich and downfall. Those missions are impossible with infinitely spawning enemies who all have grenades. You have to constantly push up, and if you die, hope enemies respawn in the same spots and run the same strat again until it works

Flamethrower shermans did exist but it didn’t shoot through the main gun barrel, that part of the campaign has always pissed me off, cause they got it right in the previous games.
all nations used rifle grenades. the french loved them so mutch they still use them sometimes. the british used them as late as the 90s according to some sources...
the germans, well the germans created anti-tank rifle grenades with ~90mm of penatration (according to US testing of it) and thats the weaker 30mm one, the soviets also did this after the war, and these anti-tank rifle grenades still pop up here and there. atleast 1 Isreali tank was taken out by one such anti-tank rifle grenade in Lebanon in the 80s...

not so fun fact: when i first played this part, i had no idea there was a short, easy way around bunker to the right and fought my way through a battlefield, dying so many times, but eventually making it across and getting a checkpoint. i then looked to my left and saw a tunnel and realized that i struggled and did something that the devs thought was impossible all for nothing
