The best part of Wardlow is his non verbal eye brow tilts and his eyes. You could tell that all the players involved were having fun.

@@UltimateSpider1385 i think he has less things to worry about than Miz does, he is on track to be a great all time heel but it’s still a bit soon. Miz is a phenomenal heel in a system that doesn’t know how to get real heat. Miz and MJF stand out because they’re personable dislikable heels

This was one of the most one sided audiences since CM Punk 2011 MITB homecoming match environments. Hilarious segment. This contract signing had all the right elements, and the table spot made sense. Kudos to Wardlow trying to keep face. Loving this story! 10/10 for this!

MJF is pure Gold. Wardlow and Spears are not far behind. These guys are good, man. MJF's mic skills and jokes, Spears expressions and Wardlow's beastly and, yet, gentleman behavior. Loved the whole section.

Giving a title to a guy or girl just because of how he looks is a hallmark of the other place. AEW rewards people for how over they get with the crowd or how talented they are, not because of how they look or whose last name they have.

I love the fact that even though the crowd was on MJF's side for the entire promo, some of them still popped when Wardlow started thrashing the security team and for the powerbomb to Mark Sterling. That just shows how over Wardlow is, he can still pop a crowd even in the most magical place on earth.
AEW need to do more stuff like this ,these 2 guys are 2 of the four real Pillars of AEW.
MJF imo is the biggest star AEW has currently. You could argue guys like Punk, Omega, Danielson, Hangman etc but to me nobody is more must see on AEW than MJF. Just by being in a rivalry with MJF, most guys get louder reactions then ever did before. I mean for example, I don't think anybody cared more about Brian Pillman Jr than when he had his short feud with MJF. MJF is good in the ring, great on the mic and is such a good heel that most of the time, the guy who fights him gets louder reactions then ever before simply because more often than not, the crowd wants to see MJF get his ass kicked
I would argue eddie is the most must see guy in aew but mjf is top 5 for sure
@@yagamilight120 Eddie is definitely up there for sure, but idk Eddie is fantastic at making everything feel more real, while MJF is great at making you cheer the other guy. For me, MJF is number one while Eddie is definitely top 5

@@CyanSussy What works about Eddie is that for a lot of people, his promos are so good because when he talks about himself, he draws a lot on his own real life experiences. In the world of wrestling where a ton of guys have issues sounding genuine, Eddie for a lot of people stands out. His ring work definitely not as good as his promos, but he can hold his own in the ring

As great as MJF is, I have such a soft spot for Shawn Spears and am v happy that he's finding a reliable and entertaining midcard spot for him in being involved in MJF storylines.

What can I say about MJF that hasn't already been said. The dude is a generational talent. He is a natural, and he just gets it. This was great.
He’s my wrestler of the year so far, with regards to storytelling… his feuds with CM Punk and Wardlow have been phenomenal. The promos and matches have been must see! He is “every wrestling promoter’s wet dream”! He’ll be AEW World Champion and the 4 Pillars will be a faction before the end of 2022 (Sammy Guevarra is already a heel, Jungle Boy will turn his back on Christian Cage and Luchasaurus when they lose their tag-team titles and Darby seems to be on a losing streak, so will need to turn heel).

I always thought Miz and Paul Heyman were the best on the mic. MJF leaves them in the dust. He's is rhe perfect heel and mic skills are unparralled. Rhe way he threw Cody Rhodes and 2024 in you don't know if it's mentioning the future or part of the storyline. Excellent. And then doing the "10" with Sean was priceless.
This was kind of a bold move, to take Wardlow and put him in front of a heel crowd in these circumstances, and still play him babyface
I was kind of hoping the "conditions" weren't just gonna be a rehash of the Cody feud, and would have some unique stipulations for Wardlow, stuff that would actually be a challenge for him.
If you wanted a quality segment from this, I would have had one of the conditions be something like "Do better than me on a math test" or something, some intellectual thing. Have MJF try to flaunt his "Intelligence' over Wardlow, but then have Wardlow win, proving he's smarter than MJF thinks, stuff like that.
