In addition to the games supplied with THEC64 Mini, you can also run your own legally obtained C64 programs (including games, demos, utilities and so on) by following these simple instructions:
First step: Preparation
1. You need a USB memory stick (maximum size of 64Gb) which must be formatted using FAT32
2. Copy the d64 disk file that contains the program you want to load onto the root of the USB memory stick
3. Rename your disk file on the memory stick to THEC64-drive8.d64
4. You are now ready to load your program on THEC64 Mini.
Second step: Loading your Program
1. Make sure you’re at the Carousel screen then insert your USB stick into THEC64 Mini
2. Launch BASIC from the Carousel
3. Type the following two commands exactly as shown here:
LOAD “$”,8
LIST
4. Identify the name of the program you want to run from the list displayed
5. Type the following command, replacing NAME with the name of the program from step 4:
LOAD “NAME”,8,1
6. Some programs will load and start automatically. For others, you may need to type the following command afterwards:
RUN
7. Re-live your childhood memories!

Is it possible to emulate NES games on the C64 Mini?

The C64 Mini loader should be programmed to look thought all the disk images automatically ending in THEC64-drive8_D.d64 , being the number of disk so you could have all the disk image files on the same USB stick like
THEC64-drive8_D1.d64
THEC64-drive8_D2.d64
THEC64-drive8_D3.d64
Or instead of this tedious renaming trick, have a file menu where you could manually choose the files. ;)

A mad question here. Never had one of these see, but can you write your own games on this c64 mini?
You will need to source the games that you own online and then follow the guide in this video on how to play them
U can only load 1 game at a time ?
You can load multiple of games as ‘save slots’, so if you use this method and save the game you can load a different game and save that. We’re sure this is still the same on the latest firmware update but you may want to check first

Not really sure, as we own Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker, that was the only one we tested. If you do a search for Morgan Just Games we’re sure they have made a video about it
@@Itsmuchmore how do u get joystick to work with games u put on stick it wont start when press a button
For the game we used, Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker we used the virtual keyboard button to start the game and then the joystick just worked after that
Hey i am thinking about getting a c64 mini but i dont like the game list so i might only get it if i can add games. So what i wanted to know is is it totally legal to add games and can i add any game i want or must you already own the game for it to be legal?
EDIT: since i do not own any c64 games..
When we saw the lineup of games we wasn’t interested in a lot of them however, since playing them we have found that we have been playing games we never knew about or had interest in before, so you might surprise yourself if you play them. As for downloading games can’t really help you on that one as we only downloaded the game that we owned for the purpose of the video - best of luck I’m sure there are other videos / websites that could help you
