Also on the Jesus grafted us in refers to new testament scripture talking about salvation coming to the gentiles. It literally means that Salvation(Jesus) didn't just come for the Jews...it came for every skin color, person, continent, country, tribe....literally everone. A picture of grafting in a broken off branch of the vine back into the vine. So we are all brothers under Jesus, which is a cool perspective on it for Jon to tie it in that way

@@Tcrror Wow, way to completely misinterpret the whole thing... Jesus' death for our salvation doesn't mean you get to sin however much you'd like and then still go to Heaven. It means that now we actually have a chance at getting there (before Jesus died the righteous didn't go to Heaven, they went to Limbo, the edge of Hell, for they died in original sin).
To get there we actually have to live Christian lives, moral lives, which includes avoiding sin (and when we sin, you need to repent and go to confession to have a priest, acting in persona Christi, remove the eternal punishment that comes with sin. Confession cleanses our soul of the eternal punishment but not the stain that sin leaves, which means that a person who died right after being absolved can't go to Hell but may still go to Purgatory, to be purified before getting to Heaven).
Edit: And gay and trans people do have a chance of getting to Heaven, as great a chance as anyone else, as long as they don't sin, simple as that. Who you love and who you feel attracted to has no effect on your chances of getting to Heaven, what does is how you choose to act on sinful dispositions, and this is true for heterosexuals as well: A heterosexual who masturbated and/or had premarital sex and died without repenting and confessing it, is most likely going to Hell, because they chose to act on sinful dispositions.
@@Tcrror I'm a believer; what exactly am I supposed to hate? Anyone who hates another human being for their beliefs is not a true believer. Even if I don't agree with their lifestyle, doesn't mean I hate them. That's an interpretation that comes from bad experiences with religious people; and yes sadly there is a lot of that in churches everywhere. Jesus hated religion too. The only people that he criticized in fhe gospels were the Pharisees(Jewish religious elites) because of their self righteous mentality. No, the scripture I referenced is talking about those who have chosen to believe in Christ. Everyone is given a chance to believe, but obviously not everyone will choose to, and that's not for me to judge that person if that is their case. I will choose to love no matter what they prwctice or believe

He participated and observed the Jewish religion of old (which was very much different from current Judaism) to the point of calling the Jewish Temple His Father's house (when he was "lost"), and, when the Jewish people did not believe Him, he made the New Covenant (thus founding the Church and leaving Peter in charge) and later, in Pentecost, when the Holy Ghost came upon the Apostles, it signaled the beginning of the public ministry of the Church.

You're right, even Jesus himself shared what "pure and undefiled religion" was. But even in the book of Hebrews the scriptures read "having being ignorant of God's righteousness, they sought to establish their own, and therefore did not submit to God's righteousness." My main thing is their are places ive been that look a lot more like a "religious" gathering rather than the body of Christ coming together in the name of Jesus. Being a believer is about believing in Jesus and what he accomplished with His bloodshed for us and recieving it, not acting like we are holy because of our own doings. Thats what the pharisees did. And thats all i was getting at. People in this world get hurt and turned off toward God because of self righteous religious people

LIttle inside info on the "corny artists that replicate it..." bar. He was talking about Charlie Puth. Charlie sat in on a recording session for Jon's album, "The Human Condition," and told Jon he'd love to work with him on his newest project. Instead, Charlie just took a sample of Jon's work that he heard in that recording session and made a song that basically sounded like a ripped off microwave version of Jon's signature sound. Jon kept quiet about it for a long time and never fed into the beef, but Charlie kept sneak dissing Jon in interviews when he was asked questions about his song sounding like "All Time Low" and other various Jon songs. This is the first time Jon has ever addressed it in a song, since the beef.
