One of the coldest Jon stories I've heard him tell is that when he signed his deal with Capitol he told them that his first three projects will be free to the fans which turned out to be his mixtapes Translations Through Speakers, The Separation and The Definition. He wanted to build a legit fan base based on solely the music and nothing else, and I'm pretty sure he kept it on the low he was signed too, so the music could be the main reason he grew a fan base. Those mixtapes and his The Making Of series led up to his first studio album The Human Condition.

If you search for it on sound cloud you can find it. It isn’t under his artist name though so I can’t be sure it is the original BUT it is definitely Jon singing on the track.

edit: btw, he can't even read sheet music, iirc he just trusted that the computer was outputting the correct notes and took it to the tattoo artist
Yeah it's off an interview he did back in like 2012. He casually mentions logic too which is hilarious. Not many people know he's done a bunch of music with logic.

I know you like Twenty One Pilots so fun facts Jon Bellion was tøp's opening act during one of their tours. I wish i could've been able to see the both of them live AT THE SAME SHOW BRO?!?! insane.
I went to one of those shows and I had no idea. Wasn’t on any listing for the concert I went to. And I saw his name when I grabbed my ticket and freaked the fuck out. They both were fantastic.
I turned down tickets to that tour because they were $350 for nosebleeds. I didn’t know who Jon was at the time. Biggest mistake ever

When they performed in Allentown I got the chance to see them. I had no idea who Jon was, but man how did I get so lucky to see both of them in one night. Super lucky! I always got to see Judah and the lions!
Crazy story: Jon B is my favorite artist ever, but before that was twenty one pilots, and we went to that concert you talked about, and I have clips on my phone of Jon Bellion performing before the me main show started, and I later started listening to human condition randomly, and it eventually clicked that I saw this man in person prior to me loving his music so much. Wish I appreciated it more at the time!

Jon speaks about that tattoo in one of his interviews. If i remember correctly, he can’t read sheet music but the tat is the first song he ever wrote when he was like 8 years old. He had the song written into sheet form and then got it tatted. fire.

I HIGHLY suggest you watch the “Making of..” videos on his TH-cam as well as the Visionary Music Group channel. He is an actual GENIUS. Up until the Glory Sound Prep album, he personally made every sound on every track you hear. Unbelievable. The “Beautiful Mind” thing is the name his friends gave the band because of his musical genius
