our puppy passed away last night. she wasn't even two months old. it had been only a week since we got her. the amount of sadness and emptiness we feel right now is extreme. she was crying the entire night. she was given needed treatment and she was under a lot of care. i hope she's in a better place now, she isn't in pain anymore. rest in peace baby Kiki. you'll live on in our hearts forever.

My puppy recovered from parvo. Here's the brief timeline and what you should do: -This happened last month during the lockdown (May 21). Symtoms started when my puppy (3 months old) started vomiting one morning. We are not aware of this virus since we don't used to have pets. Initially we thought the vomiting is due to something it had eaten last night. We thought vomiting will go away. - next morning there was a slight improvement. So we thought its fine. But at around noon it started vomiting so badly again. By that time nearby govt vet hospital is closed early due to lockdown. Even at that time we had no idea it was parvo and we thought it was having food poisoning. -on second night vomiting became worse and diarrhoea started. It was in lot of pain. I just hoped time will soon pass so that I could take her to vet in the morning. -the next morning, first thing we took her to government pet. He didn't give much details to us. He just gave some injections and said give her some food and water after few hours. It has not eaten for 3 days now since vomiting started. But in the afternoon she refused to eat anything. At around 7pm she became very weak that we feared for her life. - soon we called a private vet clinic which we searched in Google. He said this is nothing about food poisoning. It's a viral disease. You should bring her asap for giving IV fluids to keep her hydrated. -we soon took her to the clinic. We were lucky the clinic was open and took the decision to call the private clinic. If we had not taken her to the clinic she would have probably passed away that night or next day by believing what the govt doctor said. - the private vet said to us this is nothing about food poisoning and it's parvo virus. You should never give her any water or food because that will cause more vomiting but the government doctor told us to give food because he don't have time to give fluids. What a prick! Atleast he should have said since they don't have time, take her to a private vet and give her fluids. Instead he just said take her to home and give food after few hours! - so at private vet they gave IV fluids. Also gave her some multivitamin injections. Always remember there is no cure or medicine for this virus. Only supportive treatment exist.What you should do is take your pup to a vet asap and give iv , multivitamin etc through injection. Hydration through iv is most important. No food or water should be given for 4 or 5 days until it recovers and stops vomiting. Doctor attached needle to her leg so that we could give iv at home. It should be given morning and evening. -Even at the 3 rd night I was worried for her life. Her vomiting and stool had blood . Remember parvo virus attacks dogs intestine. It would damage it causing bleeding. - on fourth morning we gave IV at home. Evening we took her to the clinic for multivitamins. - 5th day she seemed to be recovering. Vomiting intensity reduced. We continued giving IV and multivitamins. - at 8 th day vomiting and diarrhoea stopped and she started to became slightly active. After 8 days she finally wagged her tail. It's so sad to watch your puppy not wagging her tail when she see you. Then we started giving her light foods. Finall she recovered. Parvovirus is a deadly disease. There is no cure. Time matters most. Keep hydrated. Don't treat by yourself. When your puppy shows first symptoms of vomiting take her to vet immediately.

@@bipashabaruah123 yes your dog can take water .....it's very important to keep hydrated because most dogs with parvo don't drink or eat..if it is getting vomitted or having diarrhea, it's better to inject fluid.
My beautiful 3 month old rottweiler puppy passed away last night due to parvovirus , I am heartbroken, she was the sweetest and cheeky. When I saw the symptoms she is showing of the virus , I immediately took her to the vet , the vet gave her a few injections and I stayed up 2 nights with her , forcing fluids and food in for her but it wasn't enough, she vomited or poo everything I gave her , This is the worst thing a puppy can go through. I pray that her beautiful soul fly high , you will always be in my heart my babygirl Maia , I still have all my sneakers and slippers you bite while I was at work. I miss you so much. U should never feed food or any fluid through mouth to a parvo puppy. They will eventually vomit and poop. They should only be treated through iv drips and through the veterinarian guidance. My puppy also suffering from parvovirus. And I see some improvement as I followed my doctor's advice.
My puppy is just 2 months old and he made it through the disease he was vaccinated only once. So guys please consult a good vet and don’t feed him anything. Make sure you keep them in a warm place bcs dogs can die due to cold as well so please cover their place with as many clothes and blankets possible. Also your love and affection has a big role to play so make sure u be with him.

My dog (Scar) had parvovirus. It broke my heart because there wasn’t anything we could do about it. We kept giving him water that contains glucose using a syringe because he couldn’t get himself to do it. He wasn’t eating either so i made fish stew and was feeding him the soup alone using syringe. The diarrhea didn’t stop, we didn’t give up. We continued giving him ORS and glucose in his water. His stool has started becoming normal, and he has started barking too.

We bought a mix lab last year. He died in last year July due to parvo . We tried our best to save him but couldn't. Hey! my puppy is 8weeks old and got parvo, from day one to seeing very little blood in the stool ( once ) and he puked a couple of times and saw slight blood once in puke again very little, we took him to be treated, he is there for 3 days now. as per the vet he is no longer puking, he is walking around in the cage more, he still has diahrea ( no blood ) 3 times which i think is not alot in a whole day ( on day 3) but he still did not eat. he is on fluids and all the stuff that the doc is giving him from meds and fluids. is this a good sign so far..? i'm trying to stay positive since no more puking, walking around, very little diarhea and no more blood. when does he need to start eating..? i suggested force feeding but doc said he needs to eat on his own or else he might puke which is not a good situation in his case. any advice, anything regarding the matter would really help, we just want him to get better.

What are the signs of recovery? Can you please tell me. Sir, my dog is sick from august 3rd week to september current month. Firstly, the symptoms are formation of boils(whitish) mostly concentrated around the stomach then slowly spread 'round the back we treated him with cream(jumbo heal) after a fortnight he got cure. Second, we was the nose issuse, which sends out excees amount of mucus, it got little cure by itself, but at same time the eyes problem starts, some sort of milky layer partially cover the eyes but i cure him with the eye drops. Third, symtoms will kill my dog i think so. He is suffering internal pain he eats little foods, & have no energy to walk & run , he can't even get UP, becoming very weak & lethargic & gives always a jerk ever second at the last legs ALWAYS FROM TIME HE SICK (jerk). My little rescue puppy who was an indian pariah, passed away yesterday helplessly! He did not eat anything for 1 day which he used to do earlier too, i took him to vet nearby and he said its normal, and we dont need to worry, but the next day only he became so floppy and inactive, and was not able to hold himself properly, suddenly he puked about 50 ml of blood, we rushed to emergency care, they did not treat very aggressively as the symptoms were, they assured us that its the course of disease and he will get better in few days. We brought him home , he began passing bloody stools and fell down while being cleaned. And within half an hour he passed away. I can't express what it makes you feel. And let me tell you that all this happened in a course of 3-4 hours, no blood in stools or loose stools were present before all this, he was perfectly fit and was playing very actively the day before!

It has not eaten for 3 days now since vomiting started. But in the afternoon she refused to eat anything. At around 7pm she became very weak that we feared for her life.
- soon we called a private vet clinic which we searched in Google. He said this is nothing about food poisoning. It's a viral disease. You should bring her asap for giving IV fluids to keep her hydrated.
-we soon took her to the clinic. We were lucky the clinic was open and took the decision to call the private clinic. If we had not taken her to the clinic she would have probably passed away that night or next day by believing what the govt doctor said.
- the private vet said to us this is nothing about food poisoning and it's parvo virus. You should never give her any water or food because that will cause more vomiting but the government doctor told us to give food because he don't have time to give fluids. What a prick! Atleast he should have said since they don't have time, take her to a private vet and give her fluids. Instead he just said take her to home and give food after few hours!
- so at private vet they gave IV fluids. Also gave her some multivitamin injections. Always remember there is no cure or medicine for this virus. Only supportive treatment exist.What you should do is take your pup to a vet asap and give iv , multivitamin etc through injection. Hydration through iv is most important. No food or water should be given for 4 or 5 days until it recovers and stops vomiting. Doctor attached needle to her leg so that we could give iv at home. It should be given morning and evening.
-Even at the 3 rd night I was worried for her life. Her vomiting and stool had blood . Remember parvo virus attacks dogs intestine. It would damage it causing bleeding.
- on fourth morning we gave IV at home. Evening we took her to the clinic for multivitamins.
- 5th day she seemed to be recovering. Vomiting intensity reduced. We continued giving IV and multivitamins.
- at 8 th day vomiting and diarrhoea stopped and she started to became slightly active. After 8 days she finally wagged her tail. It's so sad to watch your puppy not wagging her tail when she see you. Then we started giving her light foods. Finall she recovered.
Parvovirus is a deadly disease. There is no cure. Time matters most. Keep hydrated. Don't treat by yourself. When your puppy shows first symptoms of vomiting take her to vet immediately.

My beautiful 3 month old rottweiler puppy passed away last night due to parvovirus , I am heartbroken, she was the sweetest and cheeky. U should never feed food or any fluid through mouth to a parvo puppy. They will eventually vomit and poop. They should only be treated through iv drips and through the veterinarian guidance. My puppy also suffering from parvovirus. And I see some improvement as I followed my doctor's advice.
My puppy is just 2 months old and he made it through the disease he was vaccinated only once. So guys please consult a good vet and don’t feed him anything. Make sure you keep them in a warm place bcs dogs can die due to cold as well so please cover their place with as many clothes and blankets possible. Also your love and affection has a big role to play so make sure u be with him.

My dog (Scar) had parvovirus. It broke my heart because there wasn’t anything we could do about it. We kept giving him water that contains glucose using a syringe because he couldn’t get himself to do it. He wasn’t eating either so i made fish stew and was feeding him the soup alone using syringe. The diarrhea didn’t stop, we didn’t give up. We continued giving him ORS and glucose in his water. His stool has started becoming normal, and he has started barking too.

my puppy is 8weeks old and got parvo, from day one to seeing very little blood in the stool ( once ) and he puked a couple of times and saw slight blood once in puke again very little, we took him to be treated, he is there for 3 days now. as per the vet he is no longer puking, he is walking around in the cage more, he still has diahrea ( no blood ) 3 times which i think is not alot in a whole day ( on day 3) but he still did not eat. he is on fluids and all the stuff that the doc is giving him from meds and fluids.
is this a good sign so far..? i'm trying to stay positive since no more puking, walking around, very little diarhea and no more blood.
when does he need to start eating..? i suggested force feeding but doc said he needs to eat on his own or else he might puke which is not a good situation in his case.
any advice, anything regarding the matter would really help, we just want him to get better.

Sir, my dog is sick from august 3rd week to september current month. Firstly, the symptoms are formation of boils(whitish) mostly concentrated around the stomach then slowly spread 'round the back we treated him with cream(jumbo heal) after a fortnight he got cure. Second, we was the nose issuse, which sends out excees amount of mucus, it got little cure by itself, but at same time the eyes problem starts, some sort of milky layer partially cover the eyes but i cure him with the eye drops. Third, symtoms will kill my dog i think so. He is suffering internal pain he eats little foods, & have no energy to walk & run , he can't even get UP, becoming very weak & lethargic & gives always a jerk ever second at the last legs ALWAYS FROM TIME HE SICK (jerk). My little rescue puppy who was an indian pariah, passed away yesterday helplessly!
