I’m 13 years old and love designing room interiors and floor plans, and I worry that becoming an interior designer will be obsoleted by artificial intelligence by the time I’m an adult. It’s potential to do so both scares and intrigues me. I’m curious about what the future brings.
If it’s your passion I’d say go for it. I look at AI like one more software or program, these days there are so many computer programs to design and some people still love designing with pen and paper like the old days, so although some people may start relying on AI, some other will still prefer to rely on interior designers.
I don’t think AI can fully replace interior designers In terms of suggesting ideas for a type of space, yes but just feel that serves more like a shortcut to time spent on Pinterest in a way My thoughts tho
Many people still depend and will be dependent on interior designers for their work, not AI so I think AI won't take over.It may take many jobs away but AI isn't a person with feelings who can fill in the spaces like we have made up in our heads. An interior designer listens and makes the sketch the way the client wants.AI can't do it, AI can't fill the feeling of "home", atleast not as better as humans.
I am so worried about it as well! But I do hope that A I don’t take our job, any people’s job! It’s insane to me that humans are creating robots to take jobs always from other Humans!
Hi, I am a Quantity surveyor graduate. But after graduate, I just found out that I don’t really like Quantity surveying . The thing I have found out after I graduate is that I think I like Interior design because I like to see beautiful thing and I like the space to be well designed. Other than design and implement the design into the projects I don’t really know what does a interior designer really do. I feel so lost after I have graduated. Do you have any advice on my case ?
Hi there, a summary of the scope of what we do is that we renovate interior spaces to be more functional for the people who are using them, we do kitchen renovations, bathroom, living room, bedrooms, commercial spaces too. We have to make sure that the spaces are functional (they work well) as well as they must be beautiful and places that people enjoy being at, hope this helps :)
Wow, I loved your video, I'm happy to meet new people and channels with good content, you are a divine woman, your video made my day, congratulations, greetings from Mexico City.
Eventually it will.. it is in learning phase.. it may not be perfect for "now" but at this rate few months / years from now it would know why a client or a user is not convinced with what it offered and would generate another in few seconds not days.
I went to Germany to start uni and all my eyes were on interior design but when I heard about AI and what could done … like fukkk this is my dream idk I feel so confused …can you help me pleaseeeee cuz I didn’t choose my major yet I have a short time to choose
I'm 16 years old and my passion is to become a interior designer could you please tell me that is it a good carrer or not and one more AI didn't handle and solve the problems of humans. Example: I want a spacious bed room with one king bed,two side tables and a lot of furniture in it.😂
I am going to go against popular opinion: AI can and will replace the profession of interior designers. On paper, AI can do absolutely everything that an interior designer does, both on a technical level, of course, and on a creative level. Furthermore, it can do so in real-time, making the exchange much simpler than with a real interior designer, not to mention the cost. I find it quite odd that most people discussing this topic are either interior designers or aspiring interior designers. Naturally, they are directly affected, but most speak about it without understanding how AI functions and often with a considerable amount of bad faith. It is, of course, more reassuring to believe that one’s profession is irreplaceable. However, it is indeed replaceable, much like the profession of an accountant; the role of an interior designer is entirely substitutable by AI, which also presents many more advantages than a real interior designer. I wouldn’t give it more than 10 to 15 years before this profession is replaced by AI.
i don’t think that AI is going to replace the interior designers because it is just doing the designing part, what about the implementation part ?
That’s right! Designers do so much nowadays!

Definitely! I like the way you said it, it is a shortcut but I don’t think it’s better than the outcomes designers produce😁
@@aandreatru yeah sure, totally agree🥰

I agree, It would be really hard for a machine to generate designs that feel personal and have that human touch :)
Exactly!
can you do another video on how to use sketch up, maybe about rendering it and how to take photos to present in my portfolio from different angles?
Yes I really want to do more sketchup vids

I know it’s even crazy to think about how AI can take over our careers. :(
Idk if I should do interior design or no I’m confused now my classes are starting from September
Been there, it’s hard to know until you give it a try.

Xona AI is the new state-of-the-art tool. It looks much more realistic. A lot has happenend since the release of the video.
Agree 100%

Lmao what about construction drawings and functionality. Only Hollywood form of designers will be replaced.
It never will
Can you become an interior designer without doing trades in high school?
It depends on your program requirements, I didn’t do trades :)
@@aandreatru ok, thanks

If you learn how to work with AI and how to use it to your advantage as a designer, I think you’d be fine :)

Hi, I agree, I created this video a while back and since then AI was improved dramatically!! It’s mind blowing.
