19:14 Peter Tomarken always had to constantly remind contestants they needed to turn off one screen to make a new selection. You could hear how agitated he sounded here.
If you take away the whole answer and question format, the double and final jeopardy concept, the multiple category lists for a round, add a car and a bonus round.....sure...its exactly the same LOL
I see what you mean. The format isn't the same, but there is a challenging trivia contest, a very similar set design (pretty much the same actually), an exploding opening logo and plus the Hot Spots are similar to Daily Doubles (plus you lose money when you're incorrect).
I do like the first game; where the point / dollar value increases with each answer. Even the tie-breaker wasn't bad. The head-to-head (a.k.a. "bid-a-note" from Name That Tune) game was dull. The contestant didn't understand the rules of the end-game, which made it anti-climatic

i liked this show.
19:58 the right screens that needed to be switched on
For the record, Wilson is on the $100k.
To my knowledge, this is the only game show taped at Paramount.
I still want that car
So is this jeopardy but with a different name... sort of?

There is no resemblance to Jeopardy. It's more a case of finish the list

Desperately embarrassed for Americans who cannot identify state capitals.
Fitting that they could name 5 books of the Old Testament, though.
@@yamomwasthebomb7159 Yeah that is telling, isn't it?
It's not easy during that much pressure, it's easier can you're at home and no pressure and no car at stake.
Misspelled Lily Tomlin’s first name
Is it me, or did Peter get really annoyed in the bonus round, with him constantly having to yell "You have to turn something off!"
These contestants don't know their state capitals!
Eugene did good. 😀👍
Be glad I wasn’t on the show. I would’ve mopped the floor by sweeping 🧹 those state capitals!!
Me too. Had to learn them in the 5th & 7th grades!
