He wasn't one of my favorite game show hosts, but I was saddened to hear of his (and his wife's) passing. They gave their lives helping others by flying patients in need of medical attention. They are heroes in my opinion.
Press Your Luck Alumni: Dave (July 1986, episodes 729-731, $11,736) SPOILER: With Dave's win, his game show career total is about $28,736 (I don't know if he was on other game shows)
9/22/1988 here, ninth episode of the series. Would have had its first of a few USA airings on 9/21/1989.(Wipeout ran 9/11/89-9/13/1991 on USA). The L word in the bonus round also fits the category, so there were seven correct answers there. THis aired sometime before 9/7/1990 on USA, as Tic Tac Dough(Wink)is mentioned as coming up in 30 minutes. The September 1989 lineup had Squares and Couch POtatoes between 4-5PM and WIpeout at 1:30PM, so this is from a 1990 airing.
I think it was an error. I looked up asinine in several dictionaries and nowhere is there any word or synonym that pertains to an animal. It's all variations on foolish, stupid, et cetera. It should`ve been bovine, lupine, equine, canine, feline, and cheviot.
chheviot is a kind of sheep not an adjectrive relating to sheep, also asinine is not relating to donkeys, also they should have accepted lupine which means rleating to wolves.
lupine while latin for wolf is more of a description of slyness than of the actual animal. however if you used as a protest to get back on the show, I'd allow it.
Dale Pidcoe DuBoistown,PA. I'd like to see an April 2021 picture of a traffic accident involving a Toyota car and a Saab Luxury Car in the 300 block of East Third Street in Loyalsock.
I remember the host of this game show that also was on Press your luck.
He was on Hit Man, Bargain Hunters,
Yes, Peter Tomarken.
R.I.P. Peter Tomarken
Notice Peter wasn't just the host on this show. And he got to work with Bill Mitchell again.
I remember this show years ago. It's like Jeopardy, with a twist.
This is a good game show. It would be nice to see a reboot of some sort.
That's up to Paramount or CBS to decide
We also have this show in Australia, but it was for children only
i remember this episode
Peter David Tomarken (December 7, 1942 - March 13, 2006)
So he was born on the one year anniversary of Pearl Harbor!
This aired on KCBS-TV(CBS 2)Los Angeles.
Wish this was on buzzer
RIP Peter Tomarken.

A very unique game show
They aired these shows late at night. I guess this was a time when game shows were on the decline.
What a great car win!

Cheviot is a breeed of sheep not an adjective relating to sheep. Ovine is the adjcetive
My favorite animals are bats!
Never a fan of when nobody wins the Hot Spot.

Why did Peter look an awful lot like Jerry Seinfeld for this game show?
Imagine Jerry Seinfeld hosting this show

20:40 USA didn't have the "NOT ACTIVE" disclaimer yet.

No chance ASININE is correct. That would be asinine. He probably would've gotten it; his first guess was very good!
