    Don’t forget after days of eating these things, when you finally have to make a download, the bag becomes a convenient dump pouch. Always my go to when nature strikes on top of buildings. On point brothers. I just helped my non-military buddy repack and reconfigure his MRE's like this for his go-bag, he was impressed by how much more room we can make by doing these little things haha, always eating them cold, I think I maaaaybe used an FRH twice in Infantry OSUT back in the day, definitely isn't that necessary with our conventional rations lol.

    This only applies if you're a Soldier.. As that plastic container can be used to collect water. The cardboard can be used to start a fire.. The plastic can be used to wrap your feet or hands in wet cold weather or cover a wound. Why I studied Ray Mears for years. Then went out and did it. As there is no replacement for experience and skill..As I have 40liter pack with me at all times. I can live out of it. Not just survive long enough to get found. Which might never happen for a long time...

      I have never in my life used an MRE heater except for once. Heating up an MRE does nothing for me. That shit is what it is hot or cold. I went from carrying 30 or 40 pounds fo 15 to 20 pounds in less than 10 hours because I thought I needed all this gear . Being Lightweight should be the number 1 goal for sure ..

    • @ryhk3293
      @ryhk3293 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wrong. I've seen guys who dumped gear that they would turn out to need later. Number one goal isn't to be lightweight. Number one goal is to carry just the essentials.

    So interesting to see these two wannabee's talking like they know something .. when they acctually throw away the essentials (salt is needed in a warm climate for example) and keeping or replacing with crap US made stuff. When will you learn that surviving in the field is not about just "surviving" .. but to thrive as good as you can in order to be able to perform at the best of your abiblity, not just "enough" to get the work sloppy done. (Like so many missions that has been revealed in leaked documents).
    The ONLY smart things here, is to remove all the plastic stuff .. but then again, why do the mre manufacturers have to put everything into such biohazards, when there are more enviromentaly friendly alternatives. And expecially if you want to be stealthy, it should be something either found localy or that can be burned or in other way easy disposed of.
