It's such an advantage for you to start learning these things before matric. I wish I knew this before matric. I never watched any youtube videos regarding such motivational information thus didn't put any effort to prep for post matric. Didn't even have career guidance to work towards a goal or meet tertiary minimum requirements. So yes, start working, HARD!

Hi Dr Andy, I would like to know, how can you get distinctions In your finals report if your prelims results or SBA results are not looking that good. Love you loads ❤️😭
The finals count for 75% while all those other prelims and tests before finals count for 25%(they are referred to as SBA. One thing I love is you can make a change at whatever term in grade 12❤️
@@mihlalingcebetsha9027 In grade 11 it depends on what SA SAMS says the weighting is. For example in my school term 1,2,3 is 60% and term4 is 40%. But ask your teacher what the weighting is. Hope that helped😊
Write homework during break, free periods and immediately when you get them. When done ask the teacher if you can complete other homework for other classes

How do we deal with overwhelming chores that we cannot re-arrange? I believe this is the biggest issue that we experience as black candidates with unsupportive parents
Maybe try pleading your case with your parents and tell them that cleaning everyday is slowing you down. If they still don't care then you can only worry about what's in your control so like write a routine that includes cleaning and set a specific amount of time for it. Do your school work. Try to clean for a certain period but that means you can't watch abo Tv or be on your phone since cleaning is already on your schedule. So allocate your time to the most important things that need to be done.❤️

That was also my school hours, pick study time suitable for your schedule and academic needs. I unfortunately can’t tell you how long you should study because I don’t know your academic needs and capacity

Hi Dr I’m at the end of grade 10 already I want to study pharmacy or dentistry and for both I need physics and pure maths which I don’t have my parents don’t want me to change subjects as I will be a year behind already and they think I might fail so do you think I should go with the subjects I have and pass well then do a 12 month bridging course for maths and physics then I apply for what I want to and I already have life science which I do well in

Dr Andy I find it difficult organizing my subject When you were in matric did yiubset days of the week where you say for example Monday it's maths , Tuesday is language and so forth or younstudied everything and you were breaking down your study time to study atleast 3 subjects a day

Bridging course will be more difficult, change subjects before matric, rather repeat a grade if that’s what it takes.

I would use half of the time to eat then half to do work, it was not everyday though, only when I felt like I have a lot of work
