Can we take a moment to appreciate who Gruntilda really is? She's not just some old hag witch but a lord over a massive amount of land with a mountain lair, she's an entrepreneur, owns her own factory, a freight ship, a bay, a rail system, a fairgrounds, and possesses advanced medical technology and weaponry.
My first time playing BT as a kid I somehow never found the train in Glitter Gulch. So I was so confused about this level. I could only access the sections you could get to on the roof by flying.
I love this song so much even though there is so much backtracking in this world, surprisingly it is one of the most fun worlds, I love all the different themes for each floor.
This song, coupled with it being on your first impression on the level, perfectly conveys a feeling of *exhaustion* if you think about it. Like it helps illustrate the feeling of getting up at 5 AM (sharp) on Monday to earn a pay so measley, minimum wage would look at it and scoff, with a schedule of 7 days a week, 20 hours a day (and those 4 left are your sleep hours). Even entering the damn thing's a tramit, having to take the public transport from four worlds behind to even consider going inside the building, and the song being so slow, droning, and monotonous really helps this world in particular stand out by giving you the worker experience firsthand. Grunty Industries truly is a display of Rare's musical genius at its finest.
I think we have the same taste, darling. Love your factory as long as witchy world … but may I have a refund for the horrible burgers that the rhino gives me ? My stomach still hurts me
@@xxxkokopopsaction3950 well, im not sorry and there will be no refund, can you explain to me what was the problem with that burger? they taste delicious

I know this level is very confusing but that's what makes this level magic! I mean your in a factory, a very complicated factory! If this was a very simple level, then it wouldn't make you feel like the protagonists... That's Why I love Banjo-Tooie,the worlds makes you feel like you are in there.
this is the water temple of banjo kazooie ... hated for it's huge difficulty spike and immense complexity, but when you actually sit down and analyze it, you realize it's probably the best designed level in the entire series. like a mini-metroidvania, it feels like some random indie developer could have designed and sold it as a standalone game today.
When my sister and I were kids, despite the very obvious fact that the level is named after the game's villain, we said Banjo worked at Grunty Industries 😆
idk which industrial level in video gaming during 2000 was more stressful: Grunty Industries (Banjo-Tooie) Volt Kraken's stage (Megaman X5) Great Bay Temple (The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask)
I am a chemical engineer and every time a go in a technical visit a plant, this plays at my head until the time I leave 😂
Lmao!
Grant Kirkhope is a genius! This song sounds exactly like a grungy, dirty old factory!
I can envision deteriorating my physical health to this song
That's exactly what I always thought so as well XD
@@RagbagMcShag This song really does have that 'releasing hexavalent chromium into the waste water' vibe.

A true girlboss!
She got some juice, surprised to see what she about
Not to mention she's a talented poet
That just makes her sound more evil
Isn't witchyworld her favourite fairgrounds but not hers?
AAAIIEEEEEEEEE!
OOOOOOOOUUUGHH...
I hear it as FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUCK!
the best designed level in videogame history.
lol
Insane difficulty spike but its a good level
As a masochist who loves the Water Temple, I agree

Either that's sarcasm or he thinks differently.
God I hated this world so much but no denying this song slaps. Probably the best thing about this world.
Honestly the worst world in both games have the best music. This and Rusty Bucket Bay have good music to me.
@@Al-kx4mo Rusty Bucket Bay and Grunty Industries are great levels and it doesn't matter if both levels aren't easy.
@@JordanOlivares18 yeah don't get me wrong the worst levels in these games are still amazing.
@@Al-kx4mo Except Rusty Bucket Bay's actually great even without the music
I love how people don't like games with low content, but they also don't like games with too much content
Imo the game has a good balance of content, the issue I see others state is the backtracking.
@@ElEliteRojo25 backtracking isn't necessarily something bad. Its okay if you dont like it, but on my opinion, backtrack gives more immersiveness.
@@rafaelsantana6096 I'm with you. I'd argue that Banjo Tooie is the greatest 3D Metroidvania ever made
I think it'd depend on how much of that content is necessary to "finish" the game.
@@GoldenLeafsMovies i mean you can entirely skip this level
I really like this world and the song
The grunty’s industry theme, or as I like to call it: HOW IS IT ONLY WEDNESDAY!!

I accidentally had this on x2 speed and it is way too crazy a beat, especially that start up
If you don't know it Weldar's Theme is just Grunty's Industries remixed and speed up, as same for all bosses

This level sucks ass but at least Grant Kirkhope smashed it with the soundtrack as usual.
