A Final Look at The Mirage Volcano | Las Vegas, Nevada

Today (July 17, 2024) marks the day when The Mirage Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, closes its doors after almost 34 years in operation. One of the signature attractions was an outdoor volcano, located at the front of the resort. The eruptions were done by natural gas jets that shot fire out from the volcano, and red lights turned the cascading water red to simulate lava.
Construction will soon begin on the Hard Rock Las Vegas. As of now, the opening date is too tentative to list here.
