Wow! Fantastic craftsmanship. I am taking a CNC & Conventional Machining class right now and had to come up with a project for the term. I decided to build a black powder hobby cannon. I made the baseplate out of aluminum on a manual mill, am currently working on the barrel (1 out of cold roll steel and 1 out of brass, until I decide which I will ultimately use. I think the brass will look nicer but the steel will obviously be stronger) on a lathe. The turret (naval gun style) will be CNC milled. While mine is quite a different style than yours, I have to say that your expertise and quality of work is extremely inspiring. I can only hope mine turns out half as nice as yours. Great job and thanks for the video. It gives me some ideas to apply to my own project.
@@natxosailor the plans are available on JKTech.si/en/store I think. You can cut any angle with setting your cross slide to desired angle, then cut with that. So you have main left/right, in/out, and angled left/right in very basic terms.

Very nice job!
Beautiful work and cannon! I see you drilled holes for the trunnions did you weld them in place?
Awesome tutorial, thanks 👍
Nice looks beautiful
I am a beginner… How do you set up small angle to cut barrel conical shape? Can you give me an idea of actual angle you used (1º, 2º, 3º…)?
