    Priceless information , which has a lot to do with common sense. Thankyou Peter.

    Your videos are getting better and better, Peter, full of bright ideas. And, of course, your software is second to none. However, I feel it’s high time for writing a new manual to integrate the whole process and cover all aspects of the market. 🙂

    I understand that there is no substitute for using real money but how can you apply, for example, 3 models simultaneously to the same market without using three separate Betfair accounts?

    Thank you Peter. Forgive me if you have already made a video on this already but when scalping if a big order "goes through you", do you have a strategy to combat this or do you just cut your losses?

    How many matches are needed to branch each sample?

    • @betangeltv
      @betangeltv  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No easy answer as it all depends how frequently the underlying event occurs. The rarer it is, the more samples you need. So it's very dependant on strategy.

    Noobie question here - would appreciate it if someone could offer a short answer.
    If I bet on an event on the exchange, and then the odds of it reduce:
    Say I bet @ 1.08
    The odds become @ 1.04
    Why does the cash out show a negative outcome? (i.e. loss)
    Often it ticks over into green but can someone explain to me briefly why it doesn;t automatically move into the green if the odds reduce?
    Thanks!

    • @betangeltv
      @betangeltv  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      To hedge a position on the exchange, to cash out. You need a lay price available, so if there is a gap to a lay price it may not be able to hedge out for a profit.

    Another noobie question if anyone can help w/ a (very) short answer. Potentially looking at buying some trading software in the future and due to my conservative nature, I'm particularly interested in a "stop loss" feature.
    I'm wondering if the "stop loss" feature can work if the market is suspended. An example would be:
    Trading under 2.5 goals
    A goal goes in...
    Market suspended.
    If I had set up a stop loss, could I pre-set the maximum loss to 3% and that would be automatically executed at the point of the goal/market suspension.... OR...
    Would I be unable to do that, and would be exposed to the new market after it resumes from suspension (e.g. the market has moved 30% in the negative direction)... leaving me terribly exposed?
    Apologies for the Qs and thanks in advance to any experienced traders who can help me on this point.

      @Gambling4Life ปีที่แล้ว

      You can't stop loss with a market suspension. You can only take a stop loss on a active markets moving

    • @thescallytrader
      @thescallytrader 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You should only be risking 1% of your account on any one trade. So if you have an account of £1000 your risk on that market should only be £10. So depending on the odds of the Horse/Football market, your stop loss will change. Odds 1.01 - 2.0 = Position size £100 Back = 10 ticks Stop loss. 2.0 -3.0 £50 Back Stake = £1 per tick so £10 (max risk = 5 ticks) and so on.
      I guarantee you will not do this though and smash up your account. Everybody learns the hard way. If you think the position sizes are too small you need a bigger bank, not bigger position sizes or risk. £10k account - 1% = £100 Risk so 2.0/3.0 £500 position = £10 per tick = 10 ticks for £100 risk - Segway....I'd also consider not using Stop losses as the market can swing up & down fast, just don't over stake.

    i will never understand why the fuck Betfair makes so hard for people from countries that betfair isnt legal, to have an account and work !!! its stupid that the hardest to "navigate" is betfair itself !! LET PEOPLE WORK and let people work it out in their own countries !! so STUPID that company...
