Iron Maiden- The Talisman (live En Vivo version) I've been waiting forever to see a reaction channel feature this one. It's legitimately the best live performance I've ever seen from Bruce.
Flash Of The Blade is an old school Maiden song that gets overlooked despite the decent cover that Avenged Sevenfold did. If you liked this one for it's "pumping yourself up to jump out a plane" vibe, check this newer one out.
For those wondering...the song is in reference to the Allied forces Airborne assault of the Schloss Adler ( Hohenwerfen Castle ) nicknamed The Eagles Nest. Situated high in the Bavarian Alps above the town of Werfen, the castle was used by the German High Command as a rest retreat for high ranking officers. There was also a movie of the same name " Where Eagles Dare " featuring Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood. The movie does take its leave with the story in a lot of ways BUT it is BASED on the same story. The movie is WELL WORTH the watching. As usual nice reaction, and great song choice. :)

Having grown up in the golden age of metal (mid-late 80s) it is so awesome seeing black folks enjoy metal. Because black in the 80s all my black meathead friends were treated as outcasts worse than the white rap fans (me) of the same time period. P.S. Iron Maiden throws a hell of a show, seen them a dozen or more times back in my youth.
You'd be going crazy if you saw them perform this live?. Well my friend, this song is on their setlist for the first time in over 30 years on their Legacy of the Beast tour 18/19 that comes to the States in July. I got my tickets to see them in Buffalo in August. Cannot wait, going tp be amazing, like always. Will be my 4th Maiden show, first since 2001. First time I saw them was in 88 for the Seventh Son of a Seventh Son tour. Up the Irons!
The "Piece of mind" album was Nickos introduction to the fans. In the later Iron Maiden documentary "The early years", Nicko said that he did not want to let the fans down, considering what Clive had given them. It already was a challenge for the fans to accept a new drummer ("a new face"), so he wanted to give his very best right from the start. And: He did not disappont the fans, did he not? An incredible piece of drumming. And they used to start their shows with that song! The song is based on the movie "Where Eeagles Dare", which is about the Second World War and an allied special forces unit which had to enter a german military stronghold in the Bavarian Alps. The hard rhythmic drums beat triplets (toms, bass drum) can be compared to the noise of the machine guns and the german FLAK (anti-plane guns) on the war scene (storyline). After the initial drum solo (when the rest of the band starts), Nicko sometimes played about 3 kicks on his bass drum, between the single or double beats on a tom. You do not always hear it, but it decently supports the rhythm of the band. An incredible introduction of Nicko to the fans. Later, songs like "Gates of tomorrow" and "Face in the sand" (album: "Dance of death") would be likewise demanding for him. Thumbs up!
