It's gracious of you to give these authors a second chance 😂 I did the opposite and read Hill house first, loved it, and then was disappointed in the Castle book. Not sure if I would've given her a second chance if I started with Castle so I'm glad I started how I did! I'm glad you enjoyed the book for the most part ❤

the haunting of hill house was a good time and i really wish i had started there with her. we have always lived in the castle is one of the most boring things i've ever read. like top 10 snoozefests for sure 😂

I completely agree with your assessment of Faebound. I like the Final Strife series and was expecting to like this one as well.

Faebound was super predictable, 100%. I wish I loved it as much as I loved Final Strife. But I was glad I didn't it, at least - haha 😆

I DNF’ed Faebound. The characters feeling super young, the plot felt very basic to me and I didn’t like the budding romance.
