Will Sinnott (born 23rd December 1960) joined The Shamen in October 1987 as the bassist. He was influential in The Shamen's switch from psychedelic indie rock to the electronic sound they found fame with. In May 1991, The Shamen travelled to the Canary Islands to record the video for the chart-bound reissue of Pro>Gen (now titled Move Any Mountain). On the 23rd May, with the video completed, Will Sinnott decided to go for a swim off the coast of Gomera, near Tenerife. In the hazardous waters, he was pulled under by a strong current and drowned. He was aged 30.
No matter what kind of a day I am having it sure is nice to hear this and to see this. There are at least two parts to Plavka Lonich's charm here, a) she is relaxed when she is dancing and she is a good dancer and b) she smiles with her eyes. The keyboard sounds very pleasing and I especially like the vocal polyphony and harmonies when Plavka is singing and the broken chords accompanying the singing. In every verse he is saying the same thing but who cares?!

It's not the gayest thing I've ever seen. I've lived in Asia for 6 years... but it is interesting to hear pre Mr C Shamen. I had a cassette of the album that someone gave me. It was actually alright if you were getting hammered back when i was a kid - but looking at it now - Mr C certainly made them better. However their strobey stuff was effective. It gently hooked people into Rave music - though not this particular tune. Weirdly after getting spannered to Guns n' roses, Rage against the Machine and Faith No more my friends and I tuned into the Shamen. Then... we got more spannered and started raving out to Liam Howlett's Prodigy Experience. I suppose the Shamen was a gateway music, the same way caffeine is the the pre-requisite gateway drug to Ecstacy...
