Dear Sadia. Noone have the salary of 75k in London. Majority people getting 45k to 50k on average and is enough to live, you are right incase u have kids and go for 2 or 3 bed apartment. Incase u have 1 kid you can get 1 bed flat in 1300 to 1500, counsil tax, utilities and groceries max 800. So you can easily save 1000 per months if you are getting 3200 even per. Month after tax and NI cutting. And yearly salary is 52000.....so.please don't scare people coming to London.

In greater London you can get 2 bed apartment in zone 4 easily for 1850 /month or less then this but condition will be reasonable + at least 5 weeks deposit and 1 month rent in advance ,other expensive thing is furnished or unfurnished but mostly will be unfurnished so make your mind that you have to buy all your furniture like beds cupboards washing machine fridge freezer etc
If we have job in preston city but rent of accomodstions are high then near to preston which city is easy and good for accomodation rents and children dchooling. We sre newly comer in uk and job in preston city

The cost of living is actually alot more or less depending on number of kids and how lavish your lifestyle is
Which world do you live in? I m living here since past 20 years and I earn 3 times more than what you mentioned. £2500 is for maybe those who do odd jobs here or maybe doing delivery jobs here. Well qualified people earn much more than that. Pls correct your figures and don’t point out others if you actually don’t know much professional people earn here.

I am surprised in fact shocked to see such less pay scale in UK ... I have also verified these amounts with some job websites and yes your assumptions are correct... I have worked in KSA for few years and now i understood why my fellows who were from UK so happy as they were earning more in KSA and that too without any salary deductions of taxes etc
Whole UK happily moves to UAE/Arab countries due to affordable lifestyle & low taxes.

Which bottle water you use as you got water bottles in trolly. Tap water is safe for drinking in uk or not.
That was Asda Still water. Tab water is okay to drink, everyone use tab water here. I had bought those water bottles for keeping in car for my kids otherwise we also drink normal tab water at home.
Why dont you use reusable water bottles and save the environment. Tap water in UK is perfectly safe

My wife got a NHS band 5 job at Southampton and we are expecting to be there in January. Her offer is 2900/M. We have 2 toddler too so obviously I have to take care of them and will be sacrificing my job or maybe looking for night shift. Here in pakistan we are working in private hospital in Islamabad with no pension scheme.
Is this salary enough or not?
You should be putting kids in nursery and do full time job as your life will be hand to mouth with this salary.

Unless your uni provides a grant or free child care or you live with relatives who can support with accommodation you cant do all 3 on your own it's impossible

Spot on - One more thing to add, for those who haven't got ILR, there is a big expense of visa extensions (If you haven't got 5 years visa at first place) and ILR so one need to save that for as well especially if you have moved with family.

My water bill is 45 monthly, electricity bill is 200 to 250 ., council tax is 150 for 2 person

Ma 1 carer hu, my annual salary is only 13,000 to 15,000 and my husband jo shop ya factory worker hy only bring 14,000 yearly, 1 nhs staff ki salary bhi 25,000 yearly se ziada nai hy madam
