In the late 80's very early 90's I was a rep for Safety Kleen, and one of the areas I serviced was the Manhattan area. Anyway, there was a shop in that area that only restored 5, 6 and 7 baby birds, the man was also a collector of very rare birds. Do not remember the shop name or his name but I can say this much, he owned a Paxton Supercharged and bird a dual-quad car. He may have had more than one dual-quad car and possibly more one than a Paxton car as well, not even "positive" the car was a Paxton supercharged car, BUT I'm fairly sure. The dual-quad and supercharged cars are what I remember only because I have been a gear-head 60 out of my 69 years walking on this rock we live in, lol. Anyway, the guy was a really very nice dude, spent way toooo much time at his shop looking at rotisserie restorations and his cars as well. Wish to this day I knew who this guy was and exactly were his shop was located. He surly has passed on because he had been buying and restoring baby birds way, way before it was cool to do so.
Yeah, but... ...did Amos still have that little plastic model when you visited? I mean, clearly he took his passion to the next level, but I still want to know.
