This was such a thorough breakdown! I just planted my first pelargonium, a Lord Bute to be exact. And the nasty caterpillar got to it as they were starting to bloom. I bought some stuff to get rid of them! Now looking forward to the bloom. Question: Is it ok for me to cut off the leaves the caterpillars began to eat? Thanks for your help! New gardener in the Bay Area in California. 🙋🏽♀️
Ah yes Geranium. THE plant that ignited my passion for gardening in my teens. I am now 36 years old and I have a collection of all kinds of Geraniums, with a special passion for the fragrant ones. I have Coca-Cola, lavender, mint, cotton-candy, all kinds of different fragrances and I can hardly find enough people to give cuttings to anymore because I just have to many haha.
If a Geranuim has plant lice what product is needed to cure the plant. Also want to ask I live in the Eastern Cape South Africa and is a bit concerned about sunlight because my last geranuim plant literally burned to death in a day which really had me crying. What should I do?
Insecticide kill good beneficial bugs too, like 🐞 for eating aphids.. better get other plants that get the others away from ur plants. I like moths n butterflies, n hate to hear that their getting more closer each time to extinction 😢
Bought a pack of 6 young plants, potted them up fantastic on my window sill outside beautiful mixed plants.👌 🇬🇧

Will there still be enough butterflies for pollination, if you kill the wormies off?
