Eventhough I was a Fav 5 fan my man mentioned Calbert Chaney. He was a dawg at Indiana under Bobby Knight. I didn't realize that they were coming up together. Much respect to Chris Webber for being man that he was then. Like my man said, "I was salty as hell" too when they lost.
Some of his high school games were played in Downtown Detroit. It was Lebron before Lebron. The games was packed with people. It was like a concert. A huge event. C Webb is Top 5 in Michigan hands down.
I love this show! You guys got to get TMac, Vince Carter, Jason Williams, Michael Finley, Kenyon Martin, Rafer Alston, Chauncey Billups, Baron Davis, and Ray Allen.
Knuckleheads yall brought it this season yo I can't wait for next season who yall gonna bring on next. C-Webb is very underrated and disrespected what would of happened if he didn't have that knee injury. Hope him and Jalen Rose 🌹 get it back together I told Jalen life is to short gotta fix that
This is the first comment where I have so much to write and yet I just can't do it because I could write a 900-page book. C-Webb & Jalen Rose meant the world to me. I was going to college regardless, however, A Different World along with the Fab Five gave me extra motivation. Coming up as a standout athlete, I would travel to find the best competition. I'll never forget the first time I met C-Webb. Over one of my friend's house playing in the backyard. I will never forget Emanuel Bibb, my guy Rodney, and C-Webb were playing. I was the only little fella allowed to play. I think I scored one time, but I had nothing on these future pro guys at the time. The next time was at Michigan basketball camp. I won the dunk contest and the award was forgotten. Assistant Coach Jay Smith and Chris Webber gave me a shirt or something of the sort later that evening. Gosh, I couldn't believe it. Next time, I was doing a summer camp, at U of D. I would go up and talk to Perry Watson the coach at the time just to ask his opinion on what I could or should do to improve day-to-day. Knowing I was a gigantic fan of Chris, one day Perry Watson said, go to the weight room. I went into the weight room and working out alone was "my gosh" Chris Webber. I was alone with him in the weight room and I didn't say a single word. I recall he was working on legs that day and from that point on, I did that exercise every time in the gym. It was roughly an hour or so just he and I, and I didn't even say hello. Too nervous. Later that week, my guy Albert and I were playing 21 in the upper gym at Calahan Hall, and who walks in? Chris Webber. This time I did speak, I invited him to play. The three of us played 21 and I got a tip dunk with Chris in the area. I did not dunk on him, but I got a tip dunk in a 21 game with my guy in the area. It was so surreal this is the first time since then I ever mentioned the moment. Going to college with his brother. C-Webb playing in Sacramento with one of my great friends. I always had such admiration for this kid that I literally watched for the large majority of my life. I still have a bruise on my arm from getting into a fight with a college teammate that stole my Fab-Five book with all of the player's and coaches' signatures from the second year of the Fab Five. I never got my book back, but that loser was kicked off the team for other things and I moved on with my life but at the time I took that book with me everywhere. Early 2000's I pitched an idea to Magic Johnson about doing a show that connected Isiah and he once again because the two of them meant so much to so many kids. Funny years later they actually did just that, sat down before a camera, and worked out some of their issues. There is nothing I would like more than seeing Chris and Jalen truly reconnect. These dudes along with the great Juwan, Jimmy, and Ray my gosh these guys really did shock the sports world. I've never been a fan of anyone. However, Chris Webber, Jalen Rose really pushed me to have an even greater focus on attending a major university. Roughly 20 year removed, I have a degree and they have a small part of that degree. Mad love for Chris Webber.
I'm from Oklahoma, but I bet you're talking about Albert White who played for U of M. ...... saw him play in an AAU tournament one time in Oklahoma City
@@mr-ik9pz I have a true Albert White story. My high school team played his the year before Albert White played for Michigan. I think the team was Inkster (if I'm not mistaken). I rarely think of my basketball days at all, but this was indeed a moment. I went down the lane, jumped, and dunked on Albert. Not only was it a great dunk, but the back of the rim also broke. The glass didn't break or anything like that, but as a high school kid, that gets a big dunk, and the rim breaks, well needless to say the bus ride home was filled with high fives and hyped teammates.
I love these podcasts, I remember watching everything you did D-miles, one of my all time favorite players in sports. Would edit you a 99 rating on 2k with Iverson on cover lol. Good to see you sharing your wisdom.

Chris,Jalen, and Juwan don’t age, they have a full head of hair with a hairline. They are truly blessed. Thank you Chris!
Yes ... I was a young bull. I graduated with D.Miles "STRAIGHT OUTTA E. ST LOUIS DR. HIGH" BUT MY BOY WEB, AND THE FAB 5 , WAS WHEN I STARTED REALLY QUATING NAMES AND PAYING ATTENTION TO COLLEGE BASKETBALL... FUNK HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY GUY, Q IS THE TRUTH...CHI TOWN.... I LOVE YALL ✌🏿
The' Second Greatest Power Forward out of Detroit behind Derrick Coleman.
He's better than Coleman imo
No disrespect to DC but Webber is in another tier bro
DC was a beast and had a different mentality than Webb but he wasn't as talented
DC had huge potential, but he fucked it up. Webb was a legit superstar.
Coleman from Alabama
I had a wonderful time on this interview oh my God bringing back old school Sacramento give us memories Chris Webber you did a wonderful job for the community in a team I know you try your best to win a championship for us Jason William
That team was so cool very flashy very fast always like to have fun Doug Christie Good defense beefing with the LA Lakers I really really believe they got cheated by Lakers bad ass big shot from Robert Horry I really believe it that was a crazy game we’re not getting no place or nothing like that when I get a no foul
Girbaud Jeans were the business back in the day!! Ha! CWebb takes me back to college days. Duke games, baggy look, all of it... Love this one!
Chris gets so much hate as a commentator but he’s so genuine. I feel like if he had another partner commentating with him, it would help a lot
Chris is a good commentator. I enjoy when he's doing games
Y’all did it again!
As usualy - great! Thanks for 2 hours full of on & off court stories. C-Webb is high on my list for future guests in my podcast.
By far one of the best shows. C Webb is a real dude. His story is so compelling, especially the whole Univ. of Michigan saga. I appreciate his candidness.
C-Webb. Sacramento was robbed!!
Yeah lakers refs stole that game 4real sac had that 1 ..
Facts
Bigggggggggg Factssssssss
These 2 are on another level homie.
Props to C-Webb being able to pull off the mustache only look in 2021 without it looking strange lol.
BEST episode ever!!! Love me some Knuckeheads, and C-Webb!
I've always been a big C-Webb fan .. much respect!
Those Lakers-Sacremento playoffs were legendary!
I met C Webb a couple times in my life man real down to earth cool dude!!!
Some of his high school games were played in Downtown Detroit. It was Lebron before Lebron. The games was packed with people. It was like a concert. A huge event. C Webb is Top 5 in Michigan hands down.
C webb one of my favorite players growing up!
PUT CHRIS WEBBER#4 IN DA NBA HALL OF FAME ALREADY .. IT'S LONG OVERDUE ..
“I remember when my mind would tell me to do something and my leg couldn’t”

This interview is an instant classic
Hey, Professor Webber 🤗
I love this podcast!! You'll always bring the great interviews
I was at Alameda College when Webb came the Town. Interesting story that day Salute Webb
Knuckleheads yall brought it this season yo I can't wait for next season who yall gonna bring on next. C-Webb is very underrated and disrespected what would of happened if he didn't have that knee injury. Hope him and Jalen Rose 🌹 get it back together I told Jalen life is to short gotta fix that
One of my favorite king players and NBA in general. Kings 4 Life.
1:07:55 (on Peja and his tight jeans setting trend in the NBA) "he lookin like the president of France or sth" lmfaaaaao
Good interview
My favorite player growing up!! Great interview family
I love these podcasts, I remember watching everything you did D-miles, one of my all time favorite players in sports. Would edit you a 99 rating on 2k with Iverson on cover lol. Good to see you sharing your wisdom.
When Chris was in Philly towards the end, he came inside my apartment complex with to see Duce Staley of the Eagles. I was starstruck, not to see him, but to see Tyra Banks with him who he was dating.
Damn I had no clue they were a couple
