Yes Baseball is the all American game. Thus the saying, “as American as baseball and apple pie”. Hot dogs and peanuts and beer are some of the snacks offered.
Attending a baseball game in person is a lot like going to a circus/festival. It’s probably similar to how attending a Test match of cricket in person would feel. You don’t have to stay in your chair the whole time, you can get up and walk around.
I remember my mother being so happy when the games started being aired on TBS. I was young but started watching games with her. It was back in the Dale Murphy and Claudell Washington days.
I'm from Maryland so it's the Orioles. Worked at a minor team for the Orioles concession stand for several years. The game is good but it is the total experience that makes baseball a great experience.
@aylaschlegel558 lol, we're in jersey so we're both appreciative of both teams. I'm from Philly, hubby is from NYC. I also have a soft spot for Baltimore. It's just a game, so I don't take it personally. (But my hubby does. As far as he's concerned, there's only 1 team. He'll only root for Philly if they aren't playing Yanks 🤣)
You can buy an all inclusive ticket to a St Louis baseball game which includes full buffet of food, free drinks and a good view of the game, costing around $125.00.
Lewis, if you want entertainment, the fans in Philadelphia, Boston and NY are rabid and if you sit in the cheap seats you’ll be laughing for weeks afterwards. The trash talk and drunkenness is amazing.
There are a LOT of reactors I watch, but you may be my favorite. You are so curious and get genuinely excited, often with a sense of wonder. I wish you all wonderful things in life.
Major League Baseball paid attendance in 2023 was 70.5million. The LA Dodgers having the stadium with the largest seating capacity drew 3,838,000 or an average of just over 47,000 for each of 81 home games in 2023.
New York Yankees fan here, but I lived out west in LA for years and loved going to Dodger Games. It's one of the oldest baseball stadiums. A Dodger Dog is a must every time! One thing about Dodger fans to note is that they come late and leave early, which is the opposite of us East Coast fans.
Baseball has been in America since 1845 when Alexander Cartwright (Father of Baseball) came up with the rules that is currently in baseball. Games are usually 9 innings but when the teams are tie, then they can go into extra innings. My favorite stadium is Coors Fields in Colorado, also being at a baseball game is on of these amazing experiences that should be experienced. The sounds of the people talking, smells of the food, hear the crack of the bat, people watching is the funniest part to me anyway. The music is usually play between plays, at the seventh inning stretch, and when the player walk out to the plate, sometime the players will have a song playing that they choose.
At a Boston Red Sox game at Fenway Park, the hot dog you'll get is a "Fenway Frank". They're made by Kayem, a company right in the Boston Area and they're sold in supermarkets and Cumberland Farms stores all over New England.
The stadium is the 3rd oldest in Major League Baseball and its the largest stadium. As far as the music, it's every break and for good plays. There's an organist and a dj. The music very engaging at dodger stadium. It's a party atmosphere. Creates a great party vibe. You'd love it. Highly recommend a dodger game when you visit LA
You were trying to remember "tailgate parties" before the game...yes, they do it for baseball games too. Yeah, I am not a big sports fan, but always have a good time at ANY sporting event with friends. Good drinks, good food, music and generally really fun, nice people. You will have to stay a while in order to take in a sports game from every sport since they are seasonal, but they do overlap. NASCAR race is fun too...unless you just watched Final Destination 4!
Most MLB games have a very friendly vibe, and everyone is usually chill and enjoying themselves. The fans from both teams are mixed together in the stands, and problems are pretty rare. If you come to NYC during the season, I'll take you to a baseball game.
We love our baseball in America! A hot dog, crackerjackS, the seventh inning stretch, whats not to love? To answer questions, a game lasts about 3 hours. There are 9 innings, every batter that crosses home plate is one run (point). I love going to AAA games which are the minor league. I don't follow major league teams anymore but I was a HUGE famn of the Seattle Mariners back in the mid to late 1990s.
KC Royals here! Growing up we loved general seating where you buy a ticket when ya get there but it's up high by all the foodie stuff 😂 the games can last for HOURS!!
Baseball is a fundamentally different experience primarily because there is no game clock. You technically never run out of time, you run out of outs. There is a lot of "down-time" where people just converse, like at a dinner party, and then stop to pay attention when things get exciting. It's just a different feel.
The Dodgers were originally from Brooklyn N.Y.where they played from 1884 thru the1957 season, when they moved to LosAngelas,Ca. The name Dodgers', originated in 1896 as the Brooklyn Trolley Dodgers. As time went by and the trolleys' began to disappear from the city streets of Brooklyn, the name Trolley was dropped and the team has been known as the Dodgers ever since.
Sport's games are always a fun time. Football is really popular, but baseball is known as "Amerlca's Pastime". Football is played Fall/Winter and Baseball is Spring/Summer so there is always a game to catch. Soccer is February to October and Basketball is October to April.
I Live in downtown San Diego, California, Petco Park 42,445 capacity home of the San Diego Padres it's in the downtown Gaslamp district 100's of restaurants, ball park parking lot has lots of tailgate parties, after the game huge fireworks show! Go Padres 😊 Peace✌️ and Love❤️ Gary😊
I'm in the Casa De Oro area. Downtown has changed so so much over the decades. During the 70's and 80's when I was growing up all of downtown was kind of rough. It was mainly filled with small businesses catering to the masses of young Navy guys that used to swarm the downtown area back then. But the Gaslamp District in particular was REALLY bad... It was absolutely the worst area of downtown. Super seedy, rundown and dangerous after dark. It had a lot of "adult" themed stores, ladies AND fellas of the night, drunks, addicts etc. It will never cease to amaze me seeing how different it became. I never could have imagined it. The biggest catalyst to the massive changes downtown, what started it all, was the opening of Horton Plaza in 85'. I was 16 at the time and overnight it became THE place to shop, people watch and be seen for teenagers, but everybody LOVED it. It used to have a lot of really cool unique stores during the 1st decade or so. Anyway, hope I didn't bore you with that downtown San Diego ancient history. 😉
If you definitely want to see a game while you're here, be aware when you're planning your trip which sporting season it is, if there's a team in the area you're traveling to & if they have a home game while you'll be there. For some of them you may want to buy tickets well in advance.
At baseball games the announcer traditionally tries to entertain and engage the crowd. They will play bits and pieces of popular music or traditional baseball music and lead the crowd in chants. They feature the “kiss cam” which selects random couples in the crowd who are supposed to kiss if they get chosen.
One time they put my wife and our brother-in-law together on the kiss cam since they were sitting next to each other. She started pushing him away saying noooo. After going to other couples, they came back to my wife and I and we obliged with a kiss.
Baseball games are really fun. Yes, Dodger dogs are just hotdogs. They’ve been around forever in Dodger stadium. I’m an Angels fan, but as a native Californian, I like all of our teams. They didn’t stay for the 7th inning stretch. It’s when everyone stands up to stretch their legs and everyone sings “ Take Me Out to the Ballgame”. They do this in all MLB games. You should learn more about baseball. It’s so much a part of American culture. Watch “Best Manager Ejections”, “Best Double Plays”, the “Not so Serious Baseball” videos are pretty hilarious. Also, “Nimh Explains the Unwritten Rules of Baseball” is good too. I guess you should also learn how it’s played as well. There are lots of videos on the rules.
The rivalry between the LA Dodgers and the San Francisco Giants is one of the most famous in baseball! AND, both teams moved from New York to California in 1958! The New York Giants and the Brooklyn Dodgers! Also, you've got the Dodger Dog and the Giants' Garlic Fries for snacking! 😊
Nice Dodgers Stadium I grew there 38 years as a Dodgers fan only thing that's horrible is the parking 😂❤. Bro those nachos are the best man $24 and there huge delicious, beer though cost $24 total for a tall can man
Boston Red Sox fan here. The team is in a downturn currently. It’s home field, Fenway Park is the oldest and smallest in the league. The Sox probably do less gimmicks such as giveaways and such than other teams as they’re in a large media market with a small stadium, they don’t need to overly market to sell out. That has lead to the highest ticket prices in the league unfortunately. Baseball games are a great time but you really need to know the game or they may be boring as hell as it’s an extremely slow moving game. Nothing really beats the feeling of walking into a legendary field like Fenway Park in Boston or Wrigley Field in Chicago and seeing that pristine cultivated field for the first time with the food vendors walking up and down the aisles hawking food and drink options right in the stands. It’s a beautiful sight.
I'm from Dayton, and Reds games were so hard for me to see on TV before the divisional realignment of 1994, I wound up a Cubs fan. Because the games were always on WGN when I got home at 3p, EDT, I could watch the last six innings and be done by dinner.

There is a Phillies bar in London :) One of our guys Stott has a walk up song that the fans sing while he walks up to the plate. When we go to play an away game, the fans will sing it when he walks up to the plate LOL. Phillies fans are on a whole nother level. Look up the Phanatic, he's our mascot and he's hysterical. Only time music doesn't play is when there's a batter, batting. I sent you pics of a packed stadium at the game I went to. It was 46K people
The dodgers are number one in stadium attendance, and scores are usually in the single digits. They used it be a Brooklyn team named after Brooklynites who had to dodge all the trolley cars when they crossed the street.Attendence varies wildly , it depends on the weather, how well the team is doing, weekend of weekday.
Dodger Stadium is always an electric and fun atmosphere to be in and the people are always super nice, lots of fan interaction through music and chants. Most players are also usually pretty nice and wiling to sign stuff for you or give souvenirs .And typical baseball games last about 3 hours or longer depending on what happens. I really suggest you check out more baseball content as even though it might seem complicated on the outside, once you get to know how the rules work its quite simple and easy to enjoy
Go SF Giants! Want a spectacular view from the stadium? Go to a Giants home game. Sing the national anthem, sing Take Me Out to the Ball Game at the 7th inning stretch, then sing I Left My Heart in San Francisco at the end. Yes, we all sing.

Dodgers' family here. We've been fans of the Dodgers since they were in Brooklyn (one grandma was from New Jersey), and you don't just stop that. The crowds depend on the team. Teams like the Dodgers will always have very large crowds because the fanbase is so large and intense, but some teams don't have that.
Let's not forget that we're also the most hated fans in the league. And we show up en masse to away games because even with plane ticket and hotel is cheaper than a night at Chavez ravine
Both the L A Dodgers & SF Giants were originally NY Teams. The Dodgers were from Brooklyn, & The Giants were from Manhattan. There are people alive today who are still heartbroken about The Dodgers.. dem bums! LGM!

Dodger Blue! And yes the traffic is horrendous. Two hours to go a few blocks. But you can take some food in and small sealed plastic bottles. They missed the 7th inning stretch which brings the stadium together.
I’m an Astros fan ( Houston Astros) and there is nothing like the atmosphere of an mlb game the smells of great food and the sights and sounds are awesome. Btw as a kid I remember going to the Astrodome and the smell of the Jalapeño nachos are still locked in my memories!
I'm from Northern California so our two teams are the Oakland A's and the San Francisco Giants. I've always favored the A's. Locally we have Sacramento Rivercats (minor league). The stadium is by the river and after the game they have fireworks. It's a fun way to spend a hot Summer evening.
There's an audio team high up near the press boxes, working together to keep the crowd entertained! Adding onto that, if you don’t go with someone who knows the rules, feel free to ask the people around. Americans love to share their sports passions.
Did you see how clean the hot dog ketchup, mustard, etc., area was?! All those people, and it's so clean. Good job, Dodgers fans 🎉❤
Between high school and college, my brother and his friend did a road trip to famous stadiums all over the US, watching a game at each one.
My son just beat cancer and we’re doing this exact thing starting this summer.

That will be a fabulous time for your son❤ and your family. What a great way to celebrate a great victory. Blessings to your family.🙏
@@baritonebrokerCongrats to your son 🎉🎉🎉
Safe travels and enjoy the games!!!
@@baritonebroker I'm so happy for your son! The whole treatment and recovery process is rough. Creating a new powerful GOOD memory is a wonderful idea. I hope you have a blast.
1:38 In Baseball, a runner has to touch all three bases and make it back to home plate safely for a run to score.
Yes Baseball is the all American game. Thus the saying, “as American as baseball and apple pie”. Hot dogs and peanuts and beer are some of the snacks offered.
The Reds all day everyday, the OG professional baseball team.
Attending a baseball game in person is a lot like going to a circus/festival. It’s probably similar to how attending a Test match of cricket in person would feel. You don’t have to stay in your chair the whole time, you can get up and walk around.
Atlanta Braves fans here!!
Baseball is the sport of summer, so the stadiums are open air. I prefer evening/ night games because I don't need sunblock.
Atlanta Braves. I’ve been a fan since 1956 when they were still in Milwaukee!
Braves!
I remember my mother being so happy when the games started being aired on TBS. I was young but started watching games with her. It was back in the Dale Murphy and Claudell Washington days.
I watched every game on TBS during all those losing years when they were lucky to get a couple thousand fans to show up!
i remember the Boston Braves. The real Braves.
I'm from Maryland so it's the Orioles. Worked at a minor team for the Orioles concession stand for several years. The game is good but it is the total experience that makes baseball a great experience.
The Os have been my team since 1972 when an uncle from Baltimore convinced me that I should be a fan. This will be my 53rd year cheering them on.
Aberdeen???
Yankees and Philly fans in this house. But everyone loves a baseball game. America's favorite sport.
Go Yankees
Now that's a split family! Good luck to your Yankee side against the O's. Phills tried their best.
Yep, StL Cardinals fan right here.
Each person gets a “walk up” song that they choose when it’s their turn up to bat.
I have been an Atlanta Braves fan since the 70s. Through the lean years and and te banner years. Watching Hank Aaron’s home run chase was epic.
“ Dodgy Nachos!” I love it!😂
New York Yankees fan here, but I lived out west in LA for years and loved going to Dodger Games. It's one of the oldest baseball stadiums. A Dodger Dog is a must every time! One thing about Dodger fans to note is that they come late and leave early, which is the opposite of us East Coast fans.
As someone who's lived in LA for 20 years, that's 90% because of the traffic.
And the 7th inning stretch, the music is 'Sweet Caroline'
Go Yankees!!!
@@sueandpatrickyessir
We love our baseball in America! A hot dog, crackerjackS, the seventh inning stretch, whats not to love? To answer questions, a game lasts about 3 hours. There are 9 innings, every batter that crosses home plate is one run (point).
I love going to AAA games which are the minor league. I don't follow major league teams anymore but I was a HUGE famn of the Seattle Mariners back in the mid to late 1990s.
KC Royals here!
Growing up we loved general seating where you buy a ticket when ya get there but it's up high by all the foodie stuff 😂 the games can last for HOURS!!
go Royals!
@@normafleming2518 😂😂 wooo woooo!!! Yeah I did the woo girl sound lol
Me too! They have been doing a lot better than last year!!!
Cardinals Nation
I'm from Pittsburgh. I went to a game at Petco Park once and really like it there.
My sister used to live like a block from Petco and would drive to La Jolla for work😂
We were there two years ago and really loved it
The Atlanta Braves are my team since I was 9 yrs old, i'm 60 now.
Hot dogs at any baseball stadium are better than what you make at home.
You, Mr H & friends, & the Beesley's are some of my favorite Brits. Archie is so adorable, he just keeps getting cuter everyday.
If you definitely want to see a game while you're here, be aware when you're planning your trip which sporting season it is, if there's a team in the area you're traveling to & if they have a home game while you'll be there. For some of them you may want to buy tickets well in advance.
Lifelong Atlanta Braves fan here. Go Bravos!!!
Bro those nachos are the best man $24 and there huge delicious, beer though cost $24 total for a tall can man
The best places to go see a game is the Triple A leagues. It's such a carnival, the food is great, the vibe is phenomenal
Die hard Atlanta Braves fan since 99
3:26 everything is always sold out for any sport in the USA. Football is the most expensive
Go Pack Go!
I’m from Cincinnati. So obviously I support the Cincinnati Reds lol
Me too Western Hills area.
And skyline chili….
I’m a Houston Astros fan, my husband is a Cincinnati Reds fan. Baseball is the best!
The first professional team. Go Reds!
I'm from Dayton, and Reds games were so hard for me to see on TV before the divisional realignment of 1994, I wound up a Cubs fan. Because the games were always on WGN when I got home at 3p, EDT, I could watch the last six innings and be done by dinner.
Atlanta Braves fan here. Attending a game when the Dodgers were visiting was exceptional fun when Tommy Lasorda was their coach.
Beginning to end a game is approx 3 hours. Then you have to get home
Now because of the new rules they’re closer to two and a half
Not sure about other stadiums but KC has always done a 7th inning stretch. About a 10Min intermission.
Unless it's a double header - then you get to see two games in a row and you'll be there all day.
Baseball games are long ,loud and unpredictable, lots of drunk people normally you wouldn't bring a baby
Chicago Cubs fan for 50years. No matter how bad a season they may play, they were my Grandparents(RIP) favorite team so they are mine. I love their rivalry with the St Louis Cardinals and enjoy watching them play each other in St. Louis!!
I think it is the collection of a LOT of positive human vibes, and sure, music can help, goin to a baseball game is a trip, half of the show can be in the crowd1
Philadelphia Philies baby only way to go. The Mets and the Phillies played in London at the beginning of the month. The fans Brit and American packed the stands at West Ham stadium. It was 46K people
Philadelphia Phillies are my team!! They actually just played in London with the New York Mets (June 8th & 9th)
Atlanta Braves here. Go Braves.
See, I live in Pennsylvania(USA) i’m a Phillies fan, so they do play a lot of music and hitters have their own music when they walk up.

Let’s Go Phils!! Bryce, Bohm, Marshy, Trea, Schwarby (did someone say June?) and JT the toughest guy in sports!

Atlanta Braves is most definitely in the house🙌🏾🙌🏾
My dad was a Brooklyn Dodger fan and raised me as an LA Dodger fan. Been to MANY games as a kid living in the Van Nuys/Encino neighborhood
Every American boy of my generation and older fondly remember catching an afternoon game with their dad.
A lot of people go to Baseball to hang out and eat/drink. There’s so many games a year its not taken too serious, it’s a relaxed atmosphere
Massachusetts here- Red Sox all the way!
I live in upstate NY but am a die-hard Red Sox fan. One of my best friends is a die-hard Yankee fan so we have a friendly competition going when they play each other.
SFGiants! Been going to home games for 30+ years. SF die hard!
I live in Houston….also a life-long die hard SF Giants fan!
I love that stadium even though I needed a jacket in July.
Giants fan here for life. From the central valley 209
I will always remember what my Dad taught me from an early age.. Fuck the Dodgers
Both the L A Dodgers & SF Giants were originally NY Teams. The Dodgers were from Brooklyn, & The Giants were from Manhattan. There are people alive today who are still heartbroken about The Dodgers.. dem bums! LGM!
I'm a Cincinnati Reds fan. I've been to several games, and they're always super fun, even if we don't win. When I was in high school (secondary school), my marching band performed the national anthem at a Cincinnati Reds baseball game. It was one of the best moments of my life, and one of the coolest venues I have ever performed at in my musical career.
Driving anywhere in the LA area can take 2-3x longer. The traffic is crazy
The New York Mets and the Philadelphia Phillies played 2 games in London on June 8-9. There have been baseball games played in London since 2019 every summer.
Cali born and life long Dodger fan here! The best games to go to are playoff games! The atmosphere is 1000x better than a regular season game. Go Dodgers!
Dodger Blue! And yes the traffic is horrendous. Two hours to go a few blocks. But you can take some food in and small sealed plastic bottles. They missed the 7th inning stretch which brings the stadium together.
Wait til you see inside the stadium 🏟️ it's MASSIVE
I’m an Astros fan ( Houston Astros) and there is nothing like the atmosphere of an mlb game the smells of great food and the sights and sounds are awesome. Btw as a kid I remember going to the Astrodome and the smell of the Jalapeño nachos are still locked in my memories!
I watch these guys too! Super nice couple and now their little family is growing, so cool, and so glad they got to come to the US!
The Fightin Phillies!
I'm from Northern California so our two teams are the Oakland A's and the San Francisco Giants. I've always favored the A's.
Locally we have Sacramento Rivercats (minor league). The stadium is by the river and after the game they have fireworks. It's a fun way to spend a hot Summer evening.
I believe a Dodger dog is a foot long beef hotdog
There's an audio team high up near the press boxes, working together to keep the crowd entertained! They'll play music in between breaks of play such as pitcher/batter walkouts, inning intermissions ("middle of the inning"), strikeouts, etc. And yes- Even if you aren't knowledgeable in a sport, you'll find it can be entertaining simply being there.
It can get *EXPENSIVE* 🤑💰 going to *ANY* Sporting Event in the 🇺🇸; College and Professional Leagues!! Baseball ⚾, Football 🏈, Basketball 🏀, Golf ⛳, Hockey 🏒.... it doesn't matter.
Between where you choose your seats 🪑, *PARKING,* Merchandise (hats🧢, T-shirts 👕, Stickers/Buttons (for the kids), *FOOD* 🌭🥤🍺, etc... It's *DEFINITELY WORTH IT,* especially for the experience alone, even if you're not understanding 100% about what's going on.
*Little Man* has his 1st ⚾🧢 🏟️ game button 🙂. They have Souvenir Cups (from their sodas🥤) that they can take back home. Also, the *AWESOME* Nachos holder (upsidedown plastic Dodgers 🧢😏)!!
Bro you have to go!!! I admit it is hard to get into if you don't know the game, or have a team you're cheering for, but the experience is amazing. "American past time". Legit changed American economy in the 1950s
Cooking food outside the stadium is called"tailgating"
But tailgating is much more popular at US style football, not so much at baseball.
I thought Brits thought we were pushy because we’ll talk to anybody/everyone. 😂
12:41 every MLB player gets to choose a "walk up song" which plays any time they are walking up to bat. Some teams have their own traditional songs that play anytime they step on the field as well. You'll hear music a lot throughout a baseball game indeed
Apparently the highest scoring game is 26 to 23.
Atlanta Braves fan here! Seeing that part of the clip with FREEMAN's name for the Dodgers really got me. He was on our Championship team and I miss him here!
Lewis!! You need to react to a Savannah Bananas baseball game!!! They’re something extra special!!!
There’s now 3 teams in that league! But I think it’s easier to find the games looking up Savannah Bananas!
KC Royals here. Crowd size varies. We have 15-20k people for a game in a 20k capacity stadium. Oakland A's struggle to get 5-10k in a place that holds 60k. Sports events are very family friendly G rated affairs. I've been to football in UK and Netherlands and wouldn't take children there. Reminiscint of sports in prison yards.
