Splurged and spent my collected change and took my little one for ice cream yesterday. As we sat eating I was observing those in line. Guy about 35. Handling his paper money. Placing the singles all in one direction. Rubbing. Holding tight. I knew in that moment he had really worked for it. He respected and appreciated it. I took that moment to thank the Lord for the change...the sunny day and for HIS blessings.
I'm 70 and have said that very thing (good to be old) many many times. I am blessed I'm 70. Our poor children and grandchildren will never know what it was like to live like we did. I pray for them all.

I used the check to get out of debt, I do not owe on any student loan, No car note, closed all my credit cards but one.... Then my air condition and heating unit broke in my home, was able to to put a $1,000 down from my saving and making payment on it now.. Once that is paid I will be out of debt...
Thank you Danny once again for taking the time to sit and talk with us. I believe that's why everyone loves your channel because you talk to us like old friends. My dad used to say a true friend tells you what you need to hear not what you want to hear.
Danny, I appreciate you and Wanda both. I listen and try my hardest to learn. Your key words, LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES and LIFE IS NOT A FREE RIDE is so true. I walked into my sisters home after the last stimulus check and there on the wall was the largest TV I had ever seen. I am not a material girl. I am a watch for the signs spoken of in the Bible kind of girl, I live by it to the best of my ability. I try to warn others and it mostly falls on deaf ears. I am like you, I fear for my children and grandchildren. My biggest hope left for them is they are saved and the Lord comes quickly. Thank you so much for taking the time to impart wisdom to your subscribers and my prayer is they listen.
Had a tour around my friends house not too long ago. New bedroom suite. New corner suite (couch)in the front room and a humongous TV. I did mention future food shortages and the coming GSM. Deaf ears. 🤔
Heard a garbage man say after the stimulus checks he saw so many new tv boxes in the trash. My thought was good advertising to thieves that you have a new tv and why don’t you put it in the recycling. Also don’t buy TVs save it or invest it in groceries as you are going to need them.
I live in Ireland. No stimulus cheques here!!! Plenty of small businesses gone. No food shortages YET. They will come tho. Mother nature has had enough. Take care y'all as my adorable auntie (Alabama) would say 💚
If you're going to spend it, pay off loans cuz interest is clicking. Or buy something that will make you money or craft to supply your family in the future.
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 thanks for the tip I'll think I'll try it 🤪 for real tho 😂🤣😂🤣 sounds like me.. "I can't seem to save money" Amazon: " your delivery is right around the corner" 😂🤣🤣😂🤣🤣😂🤣
I was finally able to afford that water filtration system I'm injoying, score 4 cases of canning jars, buy some food for storage and put almost half to the side for a rainy day. I don't fool myself into thinking anyone but God is coming to my rescue and I'm glad to say my savior is giving me the knowledge now to prep for the storm 🙂
We must be good stewards of everything God blesses us with. Whether it be land, a home, a car, good income, good harvest, whatever it is, thank Him for it and be grateful and be wise with how you use it and take care of it.
The more money my family makes, the more “tight” I become with it😂🤷🏼♀️ I never wanna take my financial blessings for granted. I never wanna get greedy. Your exactly right.... it goes as easily as it can come. I thought my husband was crazy when he didn’t allow us to buy anything on loan. Either cash, or we don’t get it. I’m blessed beyond everything that God gave me a husband that has taught me and led me wisely financially. I get it all now, and we are teaching our children the same. You work, and work hard. Nothing is free, except the forgiveness of your sins.
I lived all my life on a tight budget. I was the best dressed kid in school... We drove over an hour away to a thrift store that would get clothing both used and new from outlets. I would get 5 to 10 blouses for 3 dollars. So many were with tags or like new condition. We would buy food when it was on sale and arrange our meals out of that. We went to thrift stores and flea markets for all our items. Our animals were even recycled... unwanted; but now loved. We fixed what we could and only hired people when we must. Our vacations were camping out and traveling in a VW bus. We then started to get hotel rooms at the shore in the late fall or winter. We always rented one with a kitchen and bought our own food and pots. It was so nice with just locals and walk on the beach with a sweater enjoying a nice cool day at the shore. I never felt deprived. I always loved finding a way to save money....it was like a game. We would buy cars to drive and cars to strip to fix the other car. If you are reading this.. get some ducks they love grasshoppers or chickens and let them eat them.. will save you on feed. We had silky chickens; never roamed out of the yard and cleaned out our yard of bugs so well. I could go outside and never got bit by mosquitoes or spiders. They would roam and eat and there throats looked like a small soft ball was stuck in them.. Happy and contented... they were fed feed; but preferred the bugs. They also took care of a mole problem and a snake problem... all gone. They were the best little watch dogs... Let me know if anyone was on the property. God Bless.
I could spend all day listening to your wisdom and advice. In SW Mo our weather is so out of ordinary, we're still trying to get dried out enough to finish planting garden! God bless all.
Good morning Danny & Wanda! We bought a VR headset for the kids when this all started. Best thing I did, they went on trips around the world in VR instead of lockdown at home for 6 months.
Danny you r the greatest! Not only does "Stupid should hurt" always apply. Truth and honesty also always apply. The Holy Bible is, indeed, the greatest collection of truth and honesty on the face of the earth.
Any money I’m blessed with, if it’s enough, I’m turning it into land and growing food. Danny, ppl are spending their ‘free’ money on tattoos...I don’t know why that’s more important than food or paying bills off. I’m sitting here, watching this at 11pm, waiting for my canner to cool down as there was pork on sale and I wanted to put more up. I’d of canned it during the day if it wasn’t so hot but I didn’t want to heat up the house. I might get to bed by midnight but it’s a small price to pay for 15pints/meals we can have when the prices go up.
IF ONE DOES NOT WORK NEITHER SHOULD HE EAT..... who will help me grind the wheat said the Little Red Hen... not I said the Sheep..........hmmm.... Amen with a capital “A” Danny. Everything you said is so true. I pray for the little people like my grand babies. I pray that they all make it out of this mess because freedom is not free for anyone anymore. God bless you.
Total believer in the Grand solar minimum. This morning I noticed my pineapple sage was blooming. Usually signifies the end of summer and blooms very late in August or early September. Very strange!
Good morning!! I don't have much but I bought my garden supplies with what I was given and I also paid off my debts. I definitely need another freezer and canning supplies now before my harvest comes in August/ September. Pray for those things to happen in my life this year. I haven't worked in almost a year. I planted my garden alone and crying as I planted my seeds in pain. God saw me through it and I look to him to lead and guide me through the future. I so appreciate you and the many of people that replied to my lack of knowledge on here. I am going to make it!! Thank you 💕🙏
John 11:35 - Jesus wept. Psalms 126:5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. Revelation 21:3-3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Just know The Father knows every tear that is shed. The Spirit utters in tears what the mouth cannot say. God bless you!
I keep adding to my garden. I keep investing in that. There should be more people like you and Wanda in the world. Sharing your wisdom is a gift to us all. 🌻
A really good video today Danny. We used to get our butts tore up and we never did it again. Today, it's supposed to be illegal to discipline. The Bible teaches us differently. I have to agree also, it's good to be old. I have a son and 2 grandchildren and my heart weeps for their future. I have learned money lessons myself and completely agree on saving and spending wisely. God bless you and Wanda 🙏🙏🙏
My parents were Depression kids, and started out with nothing. Dad went without meals to buy tools for work. They decided early to live on one income (after we kids were in school and Mom could go back to work) and save the other for investment. They pinched pennies on the income we lived on, too. Mom was allowed credit cards as long as they were paid in full each month. One cent of interest meant ALL cards were cut up. Their church friends constantly invited them on spending sprees, to which Dad’s response was always thanks, no. When everyone was retired, the friends had Social Security and little else. My parents had two paid-for homes (one custom built), several properties, overseas accounts, and no debt. You can’t cut lumber from acorns.
Love ya Vicki, u listened and paid attention to your parents. My father was a teenager in the Depression and he told me a lot of stories from that time. Sadly he is gone as r most of that era. Few, if any, r left to tell the tale. Sometimes that is why I believe that America finds herself in the trouble she is in, one: they did not listen thinking they were smarter than previous generations; two: that generation is no longer here to advise and help guide us. I love Danny and his teaching because one can tell that he too, listened!
@@tomtout6070 My parents, and their parents, had more than plenty of tales to tell, but the tales were so grim and brought back so many hard memories that getting them to tell those tales was almost impossible. Growing up during the Depression was bad enough; what the parents went through to raise their kids ...!
In my county in SC, they came to the conclusion that students were embarrassed to get free lunch so they made breakfast and lunch free for everyone, I'm not kidding.
I love the weather right now here where I am . SW Missouri is raining of and on for a couple weeks and down in the upper 40s at night and 50s and low 60s in the day . Love it .
I absolutely love porch time. I know I say it all time but i sure do. I was always taught nothing is for free, when the stimuli's checks came to me I paid off the debt I had so I can save more money just in case. I don't own a charge card if I don't have cash I don't buy it. My home is almost paid off only a few more payments and just repaired the French drains in the basement and that is paid off. I teach my kids if you want something you have to work hard for it. I was enslaved for 10 years work 3 jobs, but I want to make sure my children will have a home. God Bless you and Miss Wanda thank you for the talk. I don't have a mama and dad its nice to hear good wisdom
God bless you and yours for all the wisdom you try to impart to all of us. For my checks, I paid off debt, increased my pantry, and bought metal. I pray every day for the wisdom for me to guide my family through what is to come.
Good morning Danny & Wanda. Yes, since covid, literally everyone gets free lunch at school and the school system is delivering meals throughout the summer too. I’m not sure about everywhere else, but it’s that way here in Georgia.
I’m a little late to the video! Was actually listening to you talk about idle hands last night... prayed a lot and hit the ground running his morning! Thanks for the encouragement brother. I’ll now listen as I take a break! Y’all have a blessed day.
Thank you Danny! I'm not much younger than you. When we were growing up a "good credit score" was what we were told was the key. We were fed a heaping helping of garbage. Im still trying to pay down my debt, but my children (in their 30s) both own everything they have, out right, except their homes. Their mortgages are all the debt they have and they actually pay that down by a payment and a half.. sometimes double. They have learned from my mistakes. They are raising their families on a cash flow basis, and they are thriving! Savings is budgeted just like utilities. Big ticket items are planned for and paid in cash.. Thank you Lord!
I so agree that we have had some beautiful days and I choose to give God all the Glory. Went to the grocery yesterday and 80% of the consumers had no muzzles on and some cashiers. wow...I jumped for joy about that. thank you and Wanda for a great video. blessings to you and your family my friend.
Hello Danny It is my pleasure watching your videos and getting to meet you and Wanda. I am a real fan after one day. You were raised like I was. In the old days Lol! Will be watching from now on. Don!t leave. Talk to me. I am old so expect anything at 76.
Love what you said about banks. My grandmother was one of the first women to be a loan officer at our local bank. She taught my father well, and he in turn taught me well. Never had a car payment, no credit card debt long term(short time when I got sick) and personal loans if I absolutely had to borrow. Have gone without most luxuries, but have food prepped, money invested and saved, and at 32 and 46, we are about 60'% saved for retirement, on 1 income and some side work while I stay home to raise out 23 month old.
Thank you so much Danny for just talking to us HONESTLY, For TEACHING us so much and for going the extra second mile giving us The Scripture and applying it to life
I hear young people brag about their beautiful new home and how proud they are to live in it. No, it is not your house unless it is all paid for. The bank owns that house. Miss a few payments and they will see who owns it. So sad. I am 77 years young and my husband and I built our fist house and paid for it as we built it. No debt at all. It too a few years but was so worth it. I agree with you that if you can not pay for it you do not need it. Save your money until you can pay for it.
That's what I call living within one's means. Too many times I've been at target stores and see people whip out one credit card after another...looking for the one that works. Sad.
@@joyinthemorning44 From Lil Giant Taxes got this high, not just from government overreach, but from manipulative tricks they play on us. For instance, before WW the government wanted to institute payroll deduction for us to pay our taxes. The citizenry all objected. (At that time we were still somewhat vigilant about the government, and much more self-reliant and independent.) They knew that if taxes were made easier to pay, that people would become more comfortable about paying, not as aware of HOW MUCH they were paying, and not as vigilant about watching what the government is charging. If you doubt me, ask any friend, as I did, how much they are paying in Federal taxes on their IRS form. You will probably get the same answer I did: “Oh, I did not pay taxes this year. I got a refund.” Even after you explain in grammar school terms that you want to know how much they did not get back, most people-especially the young, who PAY to have their forms prepared, will not know. (That really SLAYS me. I am too cheap to pay anyone to do my taxes. Even the ONE time I did the long form in order to claim medical bills, I completed my own.) Again, most only know what comes back to them. Anyway, during WWII the government said, “We need the money now, for the war effort.” Well, you know the rest. “Never waste a good crisis.” The people gave in, but only after the government PROMISED to remove the payroll deduction after the war. You guessed it-they DID NOT keep their promise. Now, people pay almost no attention to payroll taxes. Of course, those paying real estate taxes are VERY aware. They KNOW how much came out of their pockets. Real estate taxpayers also have a GROUP of people that object to raising these kind of taxes. Their voices are MUCH higher than anyone objecting to payroll taxes. I suspect most do not even know when the law has upped the payroll taxes. Just a few murmurs when they see a smaller paycheck-cuz they are going to get it back in a refund, ya’ know. LOL
Thats true but back when you built a house if your 77 years old the homes were really reasonable. My in-laws had built a New house back in 1977, Brick with a full finished Basement all in was 20,000.00, 1500 sq. ft on the main floor. My Father in law passed and my mother-in law moved in with my wife and myself 3 years ago and she sold that same house for 240,000.00. People today can save forever and the price of the homes go up every day they could never save enough to pay cash.
I cashed my stimulus check and saved most, till recently. It felt good to help my grands with a little cash, and my Son who worked a job and the woman he built a barn for refused to pay him. It's nice to be able to help those we love when they are desperate, even though hey are working. Kids today have their heads spinning trying to survive. We have all been there. I don't need much and it feels good to save, and giveyour kids a financial break-- even when they don't ask. They are so overjoyed for that little bit of help. My visiting grandsons were folding Clothes their aunt laundered, and I had a chance to see the poor condition of their mismatched socks. I will now go and buy socks for them,, because I know they will appreciate being Blessed with them. Amen! tms poet Ohio
My brother has been working really hard on his garden the past few years, so when I started a little one of my own he brought me so many things to help. No easy button...reality. I’m 58 and you are 100% correct. The last two generations have been spoiled without discipline. Spare the rod spoil the child.
Mr Danny, is it always the same six people who thumbs down? They must be the ones who never heed a warning and continue to follow their ungodly ways. They are the ones that will be crying for help and will be confused when help doesn't come. Love your talks and couldn't agree with you and Miss Wanda more. Please continue to pray for my husband who had a ruptured artery from his heart to his spleen. He is still in the ICU and receiving several units of blood each day. His pain is off the charts. We covet all the prayers people are willing to send our way. Praying for "Thyme" family, the expense and anxiety surrounding these life-threatening events sometimes feel too much to bare. We've been married 51 years and the thought of losing my best friend is too much to handle. I can't imagine having a child in thyme's situation. Thank you for being there for us. Blessings as always

Used our stimulus money to buy the material for and build a greenhouse. Time will tell if we spent the money wisely. Enjoyed your porch time video as always Danny. Wife and I are just about the same age as you and Wanda. We too have talked about our grown children and grandchildren and what is to come and it saddens us. Keep the faith Danny and keep spreading the word as you will continue to be blessed. Cheers
schools need to start teaching kids to grow food, preserving food and money management. Thank you Dany for keep trying to help us all and talking common sense
I appreciate the both of you as well. You feel like family. I am old with a 4 year old. My heart breaks for him. But God knew I would have a baby in my 50's. He belongs to him.
I learned too. It's not a good thing when you loose your home. This time I bought my property and it is paid off. It took me just under a year to do it but it's my new beginning ☺️. 😊
IF there is another check (I'll believe it when I see it), one thing I will do is buy another freezer. If I don't get a check, I'll buy another freezer, it'll just take me longer to get it.
From Lil Giant Careful. When you buy that second freezer, be sure to buy a pressure cooker and enough canning jars-or canning lids if you have enough jars, to can all that produce/meat in the freezers. If the Grand Solar Minimum comes in, expected no later than December 2022, the satellites will be damaged or destroyed and the electric grid will probably be very damaged or go down, too. Freezing temps will require many to use geothermal greenhouses in order to grow food above the 35th parallel. Maybe you already know. You ARE watching this video. Just sayin’. 👍
Canning supplies and a freeze drier is what you need to invest your money in to start preserving now. When there is now power sure those things won't work but you will already have food stored. A freezer will just defrost and you lose food that way.
@@henryvalero9235 Henry, my thoughts exactly. I too bought another freezer and hope that we can eat everything before the grid goes down. I have canned my food for the last 15 years. My parents who lived through the great depression taught me to prepare for ANYTHING. I am ready and if the Lord calls my name before then someone will be happy with my stored food. blessings to you my friend.
Chem trails have been showing up here like crazy! Another great Porch Time, thank you so much. Looking so forward to next week's Porch Time (Lord Willing).
I’ve lived in Oklahoma since the early 80’s. We’ve always had sporadic weather. I can remember hitting the 100’s in actual temperature in early May. We were able to swim in early May too. These last several years have been cooler than normal, which has reduced our tornadic weather. I’m grateful for that.
Good information. Oh yah I save my 3 checks, but my 3rd check I build myself a backyard vegetable garden. In a small backyard. And I am still Learning how to garden I will get it .God-bless us 🇺🇸
I believe God has lifted his favor from us, mainly due to the murder of millions of unborn children. With the revelation of all the experiments they're doing with the "parts", I have to say we deserve it.
We have had nonstop rain since the beginning of April kind of remind me what my grandparents used to say the 40 day rain that takes place in South Louisiana ever so often
Thanks Danny. I don't know how many times I've said that I'm so glad that I'm old. I sure wouldn't want to go through these days and be young .... and/or stupid. Great message this morning. Much Love
Danny, thank you. I am older than you, turning 69 this August. I am so grateful that I may not live to see the day that you describe. However, I'm not giving up just yet: my squash are coming in good (four beautiful pickins today!), and the Cherokee Tan pumpkins (the seed of which I bought from you) are 'a'threatin'. In the recent past, I have dreamed of living another 30 years. My oldest friend is 103. He doesn't know me. He doesn't see me in front of him. It hurts. And, I'm not even family. Strange luck, this.
Hi Danny, God bless🤗. You are absolutely right, is not free money. This country , people are going to have to pay it back. Taxes, food and everything we buy is going to be higher in price. We must prepare spiritually first and then prepare for your self and your family😉. I have paid my car off and other bills paying them off little by little, I have my small garden vegetables and some fruits. Also do canning and deshidrate food. People are just having fun and is nothing wrong with that , just take care of home first and then go and enjoy your self. I have found contentment in being in my garden and spending quiet time with my Lord , he is always good to me🙏🏼have a bless day!!

Deaf ears. 🤔
@@deeb2056 so sad. I spent that money on my farm, equipment, seeds, ect.
Heard a garbage man say after the stimulus checks he saw so many new tv boxes in the trash. My thought was good advertising to thieves that you have a new tv and why don’t you put it in the recycling. Also don’t buy TVs save it or invest it in groceries as you are going to need them.
@@lusnorthernhome3410 From Giant Yes. They won’t even be able to watch it once the electric grid goes down. What a waste.

I finally learned how to save money.
Don't spend it.
From Lil Giant LOL
If you're going to spend it, pay off loans cuz interest is clicking.
Or buy something that will make you money or craft to supply your family in the future.

I agree! It’s a good time to be old!
And we love that you allow Christ Jesus to work through you to minister to us .
God Bless.
It's what I have been thinking and saying for a few years now, for the young I have only two words to say: "Good luck."
We need porch time 3 times a week at least.
Agreed! The great thing about Danny is he opens up the book of truth and helps us remember the truth of God and Jesus.

Good morning Danny & Wanda! We bought a VR headset for the kids when this all started. Best thing I did, they went on trips around the world in VR instead of lockdown at home for 6 months.
Food preps would have been a better option , you want to entertain and educate your kids get them into permaculture .
Danny you r the greatest! Not only does "Stupid should hurt" always apply. Truth and honesty also always apply. The Holy Bible is, indeed, the greatest collection of truth and honesty on the face of the earth.
Danny, They are chem-trailing northern Wisconsin like crazy. The rain caught in the rain-gauge is a rusty brown color. It why we built a greenhouse.
Wise decision.
Ours brown too. Birdbath is a big yuk……hard to keep clean. Trailin big time in hellinois
God Bless you both just tell it like it is I can’t believe how many are blind as to what is happening

I noticed the same thing. Plants are about a month to month and a half off.

No free lunches is my favorite saying. You're absolutely correct.
In my county in SC, they came to the conclusion that students were embarrassed to get free lunch so they made breakfast and lunch free for everyone, I'm not kidding.
Free , lunch in Aiken County, S.C. Wild Mustangs
I ate a bag lunch in school. Once in a while, I would buy a lunch that was my favorite.

Good morning Danny & Wanda. Yes, since covid, literally everyone gets free lunch at school and the school system is delivering meals throughout the summer too. I’m not sure about everywhere else, but it’s that way here in Georgia.
Same here in Kansas as well
The school lunches are usually all junk food.

Danny !! It's an honor to listen to you my friend !! Cheers from Ontario - the cold country as they say on the old CB radio ..

Here in central Florida it's been hitting triple digits since the end of
April. Florida had a short spring and started summer early.
Not all of Florida. We get similar weather to Danny and Wanda here in the NW section.
Thank you Danny -- never considered my old age a benifit. You gave me a new perspective.
Good morning and God bless!
You never own your house even if it is paid for , just quit paying your taxes they will come get it .
It felt good to help my grands with a little cash, and my
Son who worked a job and the woman he built a barn for refused to pay him. My visiting grandsons were folding
Clothes their aunt laundered, and I had a chance to see the poor condition of their mismatched socks. I will now go and buy socks for them,, because I know they will appreciate being Blessed with them. Amen! tms poet Ohio

No easy button...reality. I’m 58 and you are 100% correct. The last two generations have been spoiled without discipline. Spare the rod spoil the child.
Nothing is ever free. It cost you or someone something. There is a cost for everything.

Thank you. Just simply Thank You.
