I love Barbados. I did my first open water swim in Barbados (Barbados Open Water Festival) . It is a beautiful place with incredibly welcoming people. Can't wait to visit again! Jae is an inspiration!
Yes!!! Just moved back HOME to Barbados and Jae is just amazing!!! Hee videos have really helped me and she was one of many people that inspired me to come back home. I’m here and loving it!!!! Nowhere like HOME!!! Go Jae!!! Love u all!
Aww that's awesome so happy you are back home. Would you mind sharing which cities or place would be great to visit and maybe stay for a sabbatical for awhile?
Jae - Barbados here I come! I just started a "good government job" - at 60 years old! Quite frankly, don't think I'm gonna make it another 5 or 6 years to get that pension! I feel an ancestral connection to Barbados. Would love to do half year in the waters of Barbados and the other half in the mountains of Colombia. Would love to start a women's drumming circle there, too.
Hey sis I am really excited for you! 🙌🏾I would encourage you to come and visit, see for yourself. Keep in touch, there is a wonderful community out there💕🏝️☀️
You’re welcome to move to Barbados 🇧🇧..I’m a Bajan living in NYC . I love the drumming circle idea.. Bajans would welcome. I’ll be back and forth very soon once I build on my land n a beautiful development, very centrally located 15 minutes from the airport and Bridgetown.
I love watching Jae's channel even though I moved to Jamaica. I also love Barbados and visited it in my consideration of which country to move to. Barbados is a very beautiful and peaceful country. I chose Jamaica mostly because I longed to live in my home country. I was tired of being a foreigner in a foreign land.
I love that your guest explained a lot about Barbados. My grandfather/his sister/great grandfather were from Bridgetown. I would love to do research background on the heritage/genealogy of my family. I would love to go there to visit. Thank you for this video.
I heard they keep good genealogy archives in town. Not sure what the name of the government building is but the town is not too big so it may be easy to find
Thank you for sharing this video, ladies! I'm still getting over the fact that Jae is 60. Wow! She looks so relaxed and refreshed. Barbados sounds like a lovely place.
YESSSS! I couldn't agree more, Dienna. Jae is looking good AND living her relaxed and refreshed life! 😍 That's what we want for all of our ExodUS Summit ladies. 💜
Love, love this!🥰 Hubby & I visited in June, fell in love with the people & will be back in February 2025! We are looking forward to retirement & seasonal stay there, can’t wait!!! Yes, it’s the people, who are truly glad to see you. No one told us where to go when we visited the beautiful island of beautiful Black faces. Instead, they invited us to their home.
I lived in Barbados for a couple of years moving there in 2004. I loved it but sadly had to return to the uk as my elder son's schooling was incredibly difficult and he was very unhappy. I managed to obtain residency while there. I hope to live there part time again.. Great listening to Jae"s story. Totally agree we can't wait for 'retirement' though I'm nearly there. I recommend you guys channel to many black women I come across. Many lives changed! Blessings all ❤
@@expatbarbados-jaeophelia Exactly how I plan to live. My cousin moved out there at the same time and she's still there! No children! Blessings to you. It would be lovely to meet up when I get there again! 🙏🌞💕
I am a Barbadian national. I lived in London as a UAL art student. Everyone asked me why I left Barbados to live and study in the UK... they looked at me as if I was crazy. I just wanted to experience a new space as an artist...but later, I could not wait to get back to Barbados after graduation, I missed the culture, weather, beaches, food! Nevertheless, I love the UK and miss my friends. ❤❤❤
I think less amazing would include that slow internet. The voice is zoning out and the mouth is speaking but the picture is still. Jamaica's was worse anyway.
@sallyluciano8226, neither of the 3 women speaking was in Barbados during the discussion. Barbados’ internet service was not involved there. Most people say Barbados has great internet service.
You left a 1st world country to move to a 3rd world country ?? 😂😂😂 OK 👍🏾 hope you can get an ambulance 🚑 God forbid something happens to you . Or you can reach the 1 hospital 🏥 that’s located in town
Ambulances are easy to get. Our island is 166 square miles, so you can get to the free hospital from any point in a few minutes. We also have free healthcare, so there are no hospital bills unless you chose the private hospital. Do your research on our island before you comment.
@@lailaalanna315yeah my mother needed an ambulance IN Barbados and guess what, one was there in about 15mins and the hospital was 15 mins away and ummmm we have great roads.
