Islam was always hard to irradiate. Portuguese tried in Guinea-Bissau. The French in Senegal/Guinea & Algeria but alhamdoulilah they were never able to.

This island carries a similar vibe along all the East Coast of Africa ,including Tanzania,Kenya and South Somalia. The boat repair guys are using a similar technique seen on Lamu Island,North of the Kenyan coast. I loved this video,it showed so much of the social and cultural aspects of the people.Very kind and polite people as well,a feature of many islanders in the world. ❤
