@Karli Bainbridge, about stay there to visit The Black Canyons. What do you recommend in Salida that are Kid, Disabled and Senior Friendly spots? Thanks
@@rayngrace we have all of our downtown closed off so the dining places can have outdoor seating, window shopping is great! And we are right off the river so it’s always nice to sit in the parks by the river. Also if you are into distilleries and stuff the 146 taphouse is amazing with 40 tabs to try!!! Our town is about art so taking a look at the artwork is amazing as well!
I love Sal "eye"da. Stopped through there on a road trip from Boulder to California this summer. The drive from Boulder to Delnorte CO (Just SW of Salida) is very pretty...
@@GeminiDiscover It's been over 25 years since I was there. It definitely made an impression on me. I want to take my teenager there next year. Can't wait to see your video when you go!!
I saw your video when you were up in Coeur D'Alene. What did you like better? Salida, Colorado area or Coeur D'Alene, Idaho area? I am trying to make a decision for my next relocation.
Visited this town yesterday and being a brown person, I experienced the most racism I've ever had in my entire life and I was only there an hour. We visited my great grandpa's old house. We got followed twice and people we greeted walking through downtown just gave us dirty looks.
Thanks for highlighting Salida. I loved seeing your perspective of our small mountain town :)
We enjoyed it!
I live in Salida its so cool to see what our town looks like!
Thanks for watching! Feel free to send it around town. Those kids on the river would probably love to see it

This road trip is epic! So many beautiful areas and scenery.
Thank you. Colorado really left us smitten but after it we loop back and there are more amazing areas
I can't believe you were in Gunnison but didn't visit the Black Canyon. It's ahhhmazing.
Didn't save enough time for it unfortunately. We'll have to go next time
