Good use of a broken clamp. The only attributes it doesn’t have is the heft and bolt slots of the metal drill vise.

Идея неплоха и имеет право на изготовление. Позволяет быстро перезакрепить детали разной ширины.
Но нужно добавить технологическое отверстие в основании. Оно нужно для лёгкого удаления стружки. Хотя при частом сверлении оно может и само появиться. Будет возможно менее эстетичным нежели чем сами тиски.

If/when I make one for myself, I'm also going to add a couple guide lines on the top (dark brown) pieces to mark the edges of the lower grooved track, as a visual aid when aligning the drill bit overhead. Because I know I'll make an error without them and will drill right through my nice, new jig! Thanks for sharing your invention.

Excellent idea
I’ve used these Harbor Freight clamps to make table levelers. 24” clamps, mounted to the side of the table, upside down (clamp jaws up) squeeze the grips closing the clamp at top, pushing the other end down to the floor.
There's even room in the T track for a piece of sacrificial wood. You know, you could actually attach a drill to one of those rotary clamps/vices so you can open it and close it in a jiffy. Maybe that would add some speed of use to the metal one so that extra clamping power is less tedious to use? This is inspiring. Thanks!

Must admit, nice to watch, but a VERY old idea, and one that has now been long superseded by much better and cheaper alternatives. This is basically for absolute beginners who have little access to some great and cheap products available through many woodworking and market providers. But, what do you expect from Russia !!

You was screwing the metal vice up wrong, all you have to do is keep the handle part at 0° screw it up then flip the handle 90° to tighten at the last bit, thats why the handle is knurled so you can grip it, and I bet the metal vice will outlast the plastic clamp 10 fold!
Good thing I fast forward. Less wasted time 🤦♂️

А что толку. Эти дешёвые струбцины, что прищепки для развешивания белья на верёвке.
Не, само собой винтовые металлические тиски гораздо хуже и ненадежней пластико-деревянного аналога на двух саморезах, который вовсе не надо крепить к столу станка. А сверлить дерево на станке удерживая его рукой на столе, само собой физически не возможно.
Чем бы дитя ни бавилось.Особенно такое большое.

Хрень какая то! Сколько я таких струбцин покупал? Ужас. А ведь они стоят как целое состояние. А они на первом же испытании пружинки разгибаются и уже действует так чисто в показушном зрелище, зажать чего либо не возможно, а для красоты их держать только гараж засорять. В общем пустил их на нужды самоделок. И сейчас даже за даром не покупаю. Делаю сам винтовые и то крепче и надежней.
ТОЛЬКО КОВАННЫЕ, только ПРАВИЛЬНЫХ производителей, а их в эреф осталось с гулькин .....й .....

I lost interest all he did was glue one piece after another. I don't really care how cool this invention is or was it's not worth watching till the end to find out he made a cool fly swatter. Serious thumbs down
